Uh, what? Vampire skin disappeared on one of my characters.

I know some people might consider this a blessing, but I actually like the pale vampire skin. All I did was teleport and it was gone. Is there a fix for this?

lucky, many people including myself would love to shower zos with money to hide the horrific skin that provides combat bonuses that the anti hide vamp skin group is against. If zos ever sells a hide skin option I will laugh as I equip it in front of those people.

Or atleast a option to look like a stage one while being a stage four would be neat

um from what wayshrine to what wayshrine did you try porting to for research purposes?

I highly doubt this can be reproduced that simply, but it was from Auridon to Glenumbra.

Are you using a costume, hat or some other cosmetic thing? Some of those don't mix well with vamps. Also, you are in stage 1 vampirism, which has the least amount of change. Could be a combination of things.

Also I think it looks good on some people like your lil bosmer but a lot of people end up looking ugly af

Okay, feeding fixed it. Not sure what the hell that was all about.

You could try copying the status effects to see if that had any effect.

Do you ever consider not giving zos your money for such minuscule garbarge? I mean damn.. if they actually had to make good content to get your money that would be awesome right. Or maybe they would actually take performance of there game seriously and not just reinvest into the next pile of cash shop garbage..

Have you ever thought about *** off? The art department and the balance department are different and do not affect each other. Oh and btw this is a mmoRPG and roleplay is a huge part of that. This minuscule garbage is important to those of us that play for the the rp element

An artist working on a model isn't trained to create bug fixes not balance changes, completly separate things. This truth of yours
is opinion. Plus buying cosmetics helps support a game that is subscription based

This is an odd semi-rare bug that has been around for a really long time. I've had it happen to me and seen it happen to others. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to it so it may actually be one of the harder ones to fix as there doesn't seem to be a fixed set of circumstances to its appearance.

Quite awhile ago the disguises obtained from quests started removing the vamp skin and we all begged ZOS NOT to fix it! LOL So far they haven't, for which most of us are grateful.

WHY they haven't wanted us to all throw our money at them in droves by providing a Skin in the cash shop that simply removes the vamp skin when activated is absolutely beyond me. It's pretty maddening.

I'd also LOVE to see a vamp Skin that is like Stage one but without all the veins that show on close inspection and that gives your character back their original eye color. I'd gladly buy both!

All disguises do. (In game equipable) Costumes (Crown Store/momento) simply overlay, to my knowledge.

Seems they'd want the paid for varietie$ to mask it and the dropped in game to not.

I think it's a random client-side bug that rarely happens after changing zones/going through doors. I've had it happen to my vampire a couple of times, and on one occasion another player saw my character as mortal while he appeared as a vampire on my screen.

I'd love a skin that lessens the harsh skin colour change, that's my main complaint. It turns everyone a shade of off-white irregardless of what they were prior, and on some characters it's a very dramatic change. I don't mind the veins or eyes.

THAT could actually be another really cool vamp skin! One that DOESN'T change the skin but adds the vein overlay and the vamp eyes!

This game has a lot of graphical glitches that persist from time to time. My vampire skin will just randomly vanish also - so will my outfit on occasion ... even my shield has gone missing before. Sometimes my weapons follow me around on the ground like a pet (it's pretty weird looking).

The most persistent one that bothered me the most involved dying my Dark Brotherhood Costume. The colors would constantly flash and change to the point it bugged me so I ended just having to go back to the original dye.

It would be nice if they could fix them. But I doubt they're high up on the totem pole.

A race changed character lost its vampire skin while remaining a vampire. No complaints here!

FYI this topic is from 2017 and the OP fixed the problem on their character shortly after posting.

The bug is still around but there's almost certainly no point in giving the OP or anyone else who replied before @AngelFires333 advice on what to do about it.

Yeah, this. So, vampirism is four skins. Sometimes the current skin gets suppressed (not sure how), and you'll look normal. I'm not 100% sure if this is local only, or if others also see you as a non-vampire. Once it happens, if you change stages you'll get the new skin. I'm not sure how long it lasts, though.

I'm back after a years break. Yesterday I was having trouble with assassin emotes reverting back to their original state.
