Which Stam Sorc Setup?

I honestly don't know what to run on my Stam Sorc...Honestly don't want to run 2h/SnB, I'd rather run bow but here's the builds I'm thinking. (I also want to run Medium)

2h/SnB 5 Shackle, 5 Werewolf Hide, 2 Selenes/2 BS
2h/bow 5 Shackle, 5 WW Hide, 1 Kena or 1 Domi
2h/Bow 5 Shackle, 3 Agility, 1 BS
2h/Bow 5 Prisoners, 5 Auto/Shackle (Or some other set that would probably be better overall) and 1 Kena or 1 Domi

Lmk yall's opinions, Ik I'll prolly get told to run Seventh Legion but I honestly really don't want to run heavy with this build. Any advice is appreciated!

Exactly my point, And SnB honestly bores me but I know reverb is amazing and would allow me to run Wrecking Blow instead if dizzying swing

I'm not a frequent stam sorc players but I do have experience, here's my opinion.

Don't worry about Shacklebreaker. Don't look to DD for your sustain, unless you are uncommonly good at line-of-sighting and getting it off. But even then, good players will more than likely come around and bash you, because DD takes disgustingly long to work now.

And don't look to streak as your main CC, unless you're running with a group. You can't sustain it very well, even with Shackle, but especially not without. And it does no damage. A CC without damage attached is pretty much wasted on stam sorc because you don't have any timed/latent (e.g. meteor/wrath) abilities to follow it with.

Werewolf hide isn't a great option IMO because you just don't need the ulti gen. You already have discounted ultimates, so you're close to parity with someone with a bit more ulti gen than usual. And the only ulti you're going to run is DBoS, which is likely going to be your execute, unless you're just smashing people ala Fengrush with clever alchemist / spriggan's. But that kind of build, again, is hard to pull off without group support.

So what does this leave you?

You can be tanky, and run a bleed build, like heavy impreg + blooddrinker, or auto, or something similar. You can be bursty, with spriggan, hunding, w/e. But you have to know what you want to be before you put the build together.

I personally prefer to be mobile and bursty, with good sustain. One of the most enjoyable setups I've run is (even though you don't want to run it) 7th and coward's gear.

One last thing I will say, is that a 5/6/7 medium stam sorc without something like brass or impreg is very hard to play. The class does not have good damage mitigation, especially from ranged opponents. If you aren't going to use heavy armor and/or S&B, it's going to be pretty tough.

I run dual wield front bar, sword and board back bar.

5 way of fire (daggers and jewelry)
    5 automaton (impen)
    2 Valkyn skoria (well fitted)

All medium, Serpent mundus, dubious Cameron throne, vampire.

Squishy, but I make it work.

Spriggans + hundings + 1 monster is what I'm running on my 2h/bow stam sorc. I run bound armaments in place of streak/crit surge (have them on overload bar), dubious, and serpent so I can have all damage enchants and still be at around 1800 unbuffed regen. Weapon damage definitely above 3500 (can't recall exact stats), stam sits at around 38-40kish (imperial), and crit is 40% unbuffed. Not going to lie though... it's a very squishy setup so it's best played in a small group environment where you aren't necessarily being focused all the time (or have a pocket healer).

I do like the the spriggans/shacklebreaker setup with streak/crit surge. I will admit that it's more survivable, but IMO the survivability gained is nearly negligible due to the current state of medium armor. It's just too easy for a couple of enemies to coincidentally land 3 or more time-delayed/ undodgeable skills (i.e. potl, curse, wrath/fury) in a small time frame. In the best scenario, you'd have preloaded hots and can turtle up for the next 30s around a tree or rock. Worst scenario (far more common): you're dead and thinking lolwut.

So the bottom line (IMO): go heavy as @ezeepeezee suggested, or go all in on damage and kill them before they can potato you to death.

If you're gonna run medium, Blood Spawn is a must have. You won't get away without it on any other class than Nightblade. People might tell you otherwise, but if you really want to perform well in solo situations, Blood Spawn is the only option on a medium armor build. SnB is also much more helpful.

    I'd say:
5 Shackle on body, 5 Armor of Truth on jewelry and SnB, 2 Blood Spawn and an Asylum 2H.

Armor of Truth rings come in Robust, so you'll just have a Healthly necklace, but that's not too bad considering that you're in medium the extra health is nice.

Would stun from reverb count as "off balance"? I honestly don't know what off balance counts as lol

    All mentioned setups are viable.
But you must understand that you will be outplayed by Wardens and NBs - same setups are so much stronger on them.
Also you will be very squishy in Medium Armor - your heals won't keep up with damage you will be taking - again NBs and Wardens don't have this problem as they have very strong healing buffs and shields(warden) or cloak with insane burst synergies(NB).

Good luck with your stam sorc!

Nope. Off balance is not a stun at all, its an effect on the enemy target. You need to put 120 points into Atronach CP tree (I'd go 81 Master at Arms and 39 Physical Weapon expert). Now the reason for this being so good is: you get the weapon damage from Truth, you get 10% extra damage through the Exploiter CP star (in the Ritual) and your heavy attacks do 75% more damage to Off-balance targets.

Off balance is a standalone state - no other CCs are counted as off balance.
Some skills put players off balance - and the skills that do that have it described in their tooltip. Also roll-dodging an attack sets a player off balance - providing you unlocked that perk in CP tree.
