Addon wanted: Audible alert when feared (hey Miat)

Is there an addon that will issue an audible alert when you are CCd (in PvP). Specifically I want this to alert me when I'm feared, as it can be so hard to tell when you are, and the CC lasts rather long. I am not sure I even want to be alerted about other types of CC. If there was an options list, this would be ideal.

I use FTC and Miat's, but can't find this option in either of those addons. Note that I am talking about an audible alert - the more annoying, the better probably. Nothing else will do. Text telling me to break free just won't cut it.

If losing control of your character, running in the opposite direction of the enemy and the purplelish black cloud around you, doesn't give you a clue that you're feared, then no audio hint is going to help you. People need to stop being lazy by asking for add ons to do everything for you.

He actually has a point (maybe not intentionally), if there’s enough going on, the game won’t show you all the physical character effects until it’s too late. To be fair though, I don’t know if the server would let you break free in that state either, not sure.

It makes a specific sound when you get feared, so just adjusting your audio settings to amp up effects might help. Of course that's assuming your audio doesn't cut out in exactly the kind of fight you can't SEE the effect. (Cyrodiil, land of surprises!)

I know there's at least one private add-on some PVPers use to improve the basic audio effects, maybe ask around in your guilds.

It’s laughable now, but I learned quite a bit by paying attention to audio and visual cues when I was playing in first person.

Thank you. This is precisely the type of thing I am talking about. Also the screen being overloaded with effects from IC bosses, and so on.

I don't know whether ZOS or anyone will ever read this, but there is something seriously wrong with these forums when the first above post garners 5 (at the time of writing) Awesomes, and you get scorn poured upon you by half the population here.

I am 50. My eyesight and reactions aren't quite as good as when I was younger, and I play on the TV in my living room. I have no idea why it should be necessary to spell that out.

If the NB dodge-casts Fear then it cancels the animation (the cloud) and the sound of it, yet it still fears players. Also when that happens, the targeted players might be feared on the spot rather than running away.

All they need to do is fix it so the audio and visual queues don't get suppressed when dodge rolling immediately after casting it. I have no problem with cancelling the NB character's animation of puffing out the chest. But the red/purple haze and the sound should always be played.

Otherwise that extra second it takes to realise you've been feared can be lethal.

Miats add-on would work nice, theoritic, BUT

due to laggs in Cyro and the fact that it is not a channeled ability like Focused Aim, it has no practical value in the game.

Well, I'm using Miat's CC addon now, and I can assure you there is practical value. In particular, I've noticed that the warning for a Negate pops up well in advance of seeing the Negate bubble on screen.

It's a little annoying and quite unnecessary for the likes of Dizzying Swing and Flame Reach. Ideally, I'd like it limited to Negate and Fear, but I'll take what I can get.
