Champion Strong Passives Missing from popular builds - WHY?

Title speaks for itself.

From the champion system page from ESO

As you spend points on stars in a specific constellation, you’ll unlock very powerful passives. These unlock at 10, 30, 75, and 120 points spent in a constellation. There are 36 of these strong passives total, and they offer the most impactful enhancements you’ll find in the Champion System.

So tell me, why are NONE of these 36 super single point options ever used in today's popular builds?
I mean there are some pretty powerful upgrades in here.

Why would 1 more point in Elemental Expert
Increases your Flame, Frost, Shock and Magic Damage by [x]%.

be more impactful then Spell Precision?

(Unlocks at The Apprentice Rank 30) Increases your Spell Critical rating by 12%.

This isn't the only one, obviously, but they seem to be missing from popular builds.
Now to head off the trolls, yes making up your own mind about how you allocate your points is what you should do, but my question is for the builders.
Why don't you, Deltia, Gilliamtherogue, Alcast, Dottz, Shred...etc etc ever put these super points in your builds?

Not angry, just a legitimate observation and wondering why they are missing from those builds that a large number of the community look to for advice.

Thank you

Those abilities unlock for free as you spend points in the tree. The builds don't mention that they unlock them because they are just a given as you spend points.

    oooooohhh!

I retract my question, I was under the impression I had to invest a point in it when it was unlocked.
That makes a lot more sense to me now.

    Thank you

Also, when the passive is important enough, people do make sacrifices to unlock it. Just look at the Exploiter passive for Magicka builds.

MagBlades, for example, would not spend more than 75 points in Thaumathurge to get it, but Exploiter is so strong that some builds do.

And there are other examples for PvP and PvE builds too.

Unfortunately most of those passives are actually quite weak, so nobody will make sacrifices giving up raw damage/mitigation increase just to get them.

Think it'd already been answered, but these are basically passives.

Hence people will say 75 into Thaumaturge, as that's also for the exploiter passive not just the DOT increase etc.

This right here. Generally in most build guides, people will allocate a certain number of points into these trees to get these passive bonuses that dont require point allocation. Like Beard said, 75 points into Thaumaturge unlocks Exploiter which is a passive you gain and you do not have to put points into it

Me personally, generally if there is a big passive star im aiming for - like exploiter - ill explain that that's why im putting 75 points into Thaumaturge because im committing to getting that passive bonus.

ill make sure in future content to really highlight this so players dont get confused and further understand why CP is allocated the way it is :)

IMO, it’s always safe to assume every build get the crit bonus for their respective spec. All competitive stam builds should also get tactician, exploiter, and unchained.

Thank you all for your replies,

I've got a tendency to follow your builds to the letter while I learn the game and had never attempted to actually "Click" on one of those skills in the upper trees.

Never occurred to me they were passives.

I appreciate all the good info without any criticism for my ignorance.

    Such a good community.
