Signal Fire Sprint timer bug

Hi,

I noticed when you light up each signal fire the couter resets back to 60 sec. This actually gives players free Signal Fire Zephyr achievement which says light up all signal fires within 35 sec or less. Last year I remember I took this quests like 10 times before I got the achievement.

I actually did it yesterday and today under the achievement time limit but still didn't get the achievement.

...I also appearantly can't burp AT people correctly.

In line with ZOS' stance and logic this is now considered an exploit so any further people doing it shall be permanently banned.

Actually not cuz there is no other way to finish this quest so it's not an exploit. Also people can't wait for the fix and stop doing this quest cuz Life Festival won't stop too, it will keep on going with bugs if needed.

Same here. I did it twice under the time limit and never got the achievement for either character. Will see how I go today.

People saying they done it in the time stated but didn't get the achievement, how do you know exactly what time you had left if the timer is resetting after you light each fire? Maybe you didn't actually do it in time.

I hit a timer on my phone after lighting the first one, stamsorc with major and minor expedition so no problems with finishing before the timer.

I've had too many drinks atm to remember exactly, but I think about 42 secs...? and yes, you could be right in that I didn't actually do it in the time like I thought.

Are you actually getting the achievement for doing it in more than 35 seconds, or is it just the timer and audio that is bugged?

Well I did get my achievement but for my the timer was restarting each signal fire I light up but in total it took me around 40 sec to light up all 4 signals but cuz of the bug I still got the achievement. I was doing it w/o speed buff only with sprint mostly.

Well I did get my achievement but for my the timer was restarting each signal fire I light up but in total it took me around 40 sec to light up all 4 signals but cuz of the bug I still got the achievement. I was doing it w/o speed buff only with sprint mostly.

As it is, looks like you can complete the quest objectives by RUNNING, and you can stop and do the Skyshard while you are there, if you need to. You might be able to WALK between the two closest ones and still finish the quest. SPRINTING? Not required. Anyone using special food or potions is wasting food and potions. I'll toss a /bug report in their direction, but given the short duration of the event, not likely it will get fixed this year.

All of this seems to be on a different timer than the achievement, which is why I was asking.

Do them in order, either the south ones first (I think West then South) or the north ones first (I think North then East), then cross the bridge and do the next pair, in reverse of what is listed above (East then North or South then West). Hopefully, I don't have my directions messed up.

Lava Soup and Saltrice for the stamina boost and regen. Speed potion for speed. Sprint as much as possible. If the speed potion won't last for very long, use it on the bridge when you go between the north and south pairs of fires. That would be after the second fire is lit.

Timer starts with the first fire, so you have plenty of time to check things out and plan. Once the last fire is lit, you are done. No need to hurry.

Watch for NPCs on the bridges. They will block you.

Confirmed that something is wrong with this Achievement, I finished it 3x in under 20 seconds, WELL under the 35 (usually 45 or more seconds left on the timer) and it refuses to give me the achievement.

ZoS has a habit of wasting my time. Soon this game will be dubbed Elder Trolls Online

If you find you have a issue getting the achievement, just zone chat LFG partner for the achievement up to 4 players can group for it each one taking a different fire.

You can't judge it by the onscreen timer which is bugged. If you sprint between the braziers there's no problem finishing it in time, and you only need to light the braziers and not get back to the NPC within the time limit. Just work out the most efficient route. Some prefer to start at one end, some prefer to start at the other end. Personally I find starting at the North one and finishing at the skyshard is the quickest, but I've done it both ways this year without any trouble. Completing the quest without the achievement isn't time-restricted at all.

I sprinted WITH major expedition on it was well under 35 seconds.

Repeating the same advice over and over makes you look silly, acting like it's some complicated route or something LOL.

Managed to get the achievement on 5 characters, in all cases I had to use Rapid Maneuver and sprint until I ran out of stamina, then drink one of those rogue escape potions to get to the final brazier in time.

Then perhaps people who can't do it need to mention which platform and server they're on, because there is zero problem doing it on PC EU and all anyone trying to help can do is point out the traditional way of completing the achievement which the bugged timer message has no effect on. The only significant bug seems to be the ability to do the quest without a time limit, but the time limit on the achievement works fine for me every time.

Yes me too on both of these. No matter how many times I try I don't get either. The other should work since my burps after Orc food are legendary...

Make sure you're standing very close to the person, and have both their name and interaction option highlighted. After several failures I found that was the key to it, as well as ensuring that the person is standing still and not running past you.

PC/NA, the quest completion timer keeps resetting, giving you extra time to finish. The speed achievement is not bugged, you need to finish under time to get. As long as you have the stamina to keep spriting, you can make it following the most efficient path. A simple stam/speed potion should be enough for anyone to get it. Remember to run to the quest giver at the end to complete it, and be sure you are looking at right achievement. The list for the dye is just quest completion back in Eastmarch. (I say this after I got momentarily confused on the five claw one.)

If you use the 'soiled napkin' in you inventory under quest items, you don't even need to burp to another player.
