Bot Farming in Betnikh

I know that this MAY have been stated a few times before, but this is just ridiculous. ZOS may not care too much about the bot farmers ruining their game, as this issue has not been address with the attention it deserves yet, but now they are ruining your holiday event. What is the point of doing a holiday event that encompasses players traveling to a zone to kill wolves that cannot be killed because there are bot famers with rubber banded controllers killing all the wolves??? This is baffling!

I've been getting meat from mudcrabs. Not that that helps the bot problem per se, but it might help with the quest.

    Good luck out there!

Yes i did notice that, but i still think it is absurd! If they don't want to address the issue head on, then rename the quest to "Compete for scraps against the Bot Farmers", and have the objective ask you to steal scraps from the bot famers that are taking all the holiday meat.

... 10 million accounts created, 9 million bot famers and bank accounts...

Unless the person is sitting there, physically holding down the right trigger the entire time, it is bot farming. Rubber banding the controller, setting a pillow against the controller, tilting a book against the trigger, anything that requires no constant user input is bot farming. Either you sit there and put the time in to collect your scraps holding down the trigger with your finger or you don't, that is the only difference.

I was just there and, yea, they're bots (PS4 NA)

It really is a shame that they won't actually address this issue. There are so many ways they could prevent it or at least make it unfeasible to exploit.

Wait, there's actually people using bots on those stupid wolves?

    Why?

I could understand if they were in an area that spawns a ton of them more or less clustered together so you could farm leather goods, but Betnikh just doesn't seem like a good place for farming to me. Especially now with the event going on.

Although, I guess it makes sense if the goal for these bots in particular is to screw with the event.

I am new to ESO. I encountered this last night at Glister Vale, Auridon (PC / EU) :-/. They have nicknames as historical rulers...

I don't play ESO since 15.06. because Cyrodiil is broken since Summerset (PvE isn't much better, too)...

Aldmeri Dominion (PC Europe via Steam)

The cowardly Wood Elves are best noted for their unwillingness to engage in a face-to-face attack; a Bosmer will strike at you from every side except the front. You won't cross swords with a Bosmer, but you might catch an arrow in the throat. Be wary in forests and jungles, and watch your back.

Yeah I passed that way in a quick backtrack on PC a few weeks back and the bots were everywhere

I’m at work all day, someone else check this.

Where does the meat go in the inventory, the quest item category? Can you farm more than necessary? Does it only remove the needed number when you turn in the quest? How many to a stack? Does it take inventory slots at all? Is it vendorable for gold? All questions leading to whether it’s a resource to build gold for gold selling. If it can be amassed and vendored then it is a source for gold. If it does t take inventory slots then the botter doesn’t need to spend scratch on bag space or a banker or merchant.

I did that quest earlier for the event. Seen a bunch of bots, all Sorcs with their pets out.

Theyre bots. They sit in one location or move a long a short path with sorc pets that do the majority of the work for them. Their names are random letters as per usual for a bot farmer. They never once go near the mobs they kill and they sure and the hell dont leave once they have the 10 meat necessary for the event. They are bots.

They’ve been in Betnihk forever. I gave up reporting them on PS4 NA.

They usually pick an area where the enemies are weak, plentiful and have absolutely no AOE attacks.

I can sometimes troll the botters in the Alikr Desert by dragging them away using mystery meat and pulling them over to a lamia who shreds them. They farm mudcrabs 24 X 7.

Pretty sure you cannot stock up on mystery meat. When you are done, you won't get any more. Bots will be farming leveled resources or XP.
