DW/2H stamblade idea.

So I think Ive decided to try to make a dw/2h stamblade as of last night. I was for sure I was going to prefer bow, but after actually managing to defeat someone (although not 1v1, but eh, the guy was CP620 on Shor) I found out that dual weild is just way too much fun for pvp to pass up. Cloak, blade cloak, ambush + surprise attack. Also have bloodthirst on the same bar, but not too sure about it. And I think I still need Rally from 2H line for a good heal, which means I have to get rid of bow. I was thinking about getting agility set, but not too sure how to get it. Any ideas on good sets to make this build work? I want to keep using 5 piece medium armour and 2 piece heavy armour. I was also considering making it a bleed build, axes?

I use a dot build on my stam nightblade dw/2h. I would consider using rendering slash instead. The snare is too strong not to have. I go dual axes to maintain as much of the bleed proc as possible with all the rituals and purges thrown around in pvp. Also use double dot poisons and personally I love skoria, viper and either red mountain or assassins guile. I mess around with both sets all the time. Assassins guile allows you to use some incredibly strong poisons. Just experiment with what you can do

One of my fav and extremely strong builds in pvp.

I just hate Ambush. Why? Because of noobs spamming that skill. It just gives that same impression when I use it. So its either Crit Rush or no gap closer at all. Lately been really liking that second option.

At first I forgot to switch from steel tornado to ambush. Another NB attacked me and and then backed away and started using bow. I couldnt get to him, if I had Ambush at the time I could've. Its hard to imagine not having Ambush if I also dont use bow.

Use rendering slashes instead of what? I actually have that skill but was using it for pve. Cant say ive noticed it stun though. I notice a stun when I use surprise attack when Im in stealth. If I remove bloodthirst then I wont have healing on that bar at all. I was thinking of using vigor there.

Why? watch the video, How? figure it out and experiment for yourself, you can find all sets on the wiki.

Im using automaton and hundings, 1 velidreth or kragh and 1 kena.

2h is buff/heal bar with 4 hundings 5 autom
DW is 5-5-1-1

Tri stat food, stage 4 vamp

I have bad sustain, not for anything more than gank n hide. Not my main either, so I dont really take it too seriously as a build.

agility can be bought from guild traders for super cheap. alternatively you could run random daily dungeons through the group finder and test your luck.
nightblades don't have any way to gain major mending so running vitality/lingering health pots helps a lot with survivability. if you want to go dual wield you always could use flying blade or pots for damage boost

Giving up your bow is a bad idea. Nightblades excel at high damage hit and runs. So many kills from snipe+poison inject combos.

If you want to go dw and 2h then the way to go would be to make your 2h bar a buff bar. Rally\Grim focus\Leeching Strikes\Evasion\Executioner\onslaught.

Dw bar ambush\surprise attack\cloak\blood craze\vigor\incapacitating strike.

Use swords, probably 3 agil, 5 hundings, selenes, master 1h weapons, Asylum sanctorum 2h. Pretty plane jane simple, from stealth buff up on backbar, ambush, cloak, surprise attack, blood craze, cloak, execute\onslaught. Use speed\immovability potions to get away and restart.

Hahaha no. I hate the way Ambush looks, I hate the fact that it's slower than Crit Rush, I hate the fact that its so predictable and I hate the fact that it gives an absolutely useless empower that gets consumed by a light attack 99% of the time since its a habit now which I can't prevent even if I tried to force myself to. It's also more expensive than Crit Rush. So no, it's not a critical skill. And no I'm not afraid that people would judge me and since you didn't understand my sentence let me explain that to you: I feel like I'm one of the noobs spamming this skill when I use it, I hate seeing my gameplay resembling in any way or form to what I hate seeing in other people's gameplay.

What are the benefits of not having a gap closer? Using an Asylum 2H while still being able to run Relentless Focus on the front bar, which allows me to do much more interesting and unpredictable combos, that a gap closer would never provide. And if you think that a gap closer brings THAT much mobility, it doesn't, it locks you into a specific gameplay and therefore makes you feel like a gap closer is a necessity. But that couldn't be more false. Unless you're bad at staying on your targets of course.

Plus when you're outnumbered, targets will always be coming at you, so the only time you'll need a gapcloser is when someone is running from you, or when you've ported to your Shade and need to re-engage combat. Well, speed potions are the solution and your Bow proc is your ranged nuke.

Gap closer critical? Nope. Not even close.

Yes indeed, Xbox EU is full of people who judge everyone who passes by, but how is it different to other platforms? Judging others is part of today's society, most social sciences are based on judging people. And frankly, why would I care if someone living in their mom's basement in another country judges me?

And bow doesnt feel like a nuke, it feels like a slow pea shooter, at least when you are low level and have no cp.

I've hit people for over 17k with it. It hits harder than most ultimates. Actually come to think of it, the magicka version is probably the strongest direct damage projectile in the game. The stamina version isn't far behind in terms of damage and another benefit it has is that its Disease damage meaning that it has a 10% chance to proc the Diseased status effect which debuffs the enemy's healing. And if you're low level chances are you don't even have the skill yet, since its the last skill in the Assassination skill line.

Critical Rush is the 2nd skill in the 2H skill line. A gap closer that always does a critical hit basically. Stampede is the other morph, which is what I use when I do use a gap closer at all, since a 60% snare for 8 seconds is just ruthless.

I’ll second that. I’ve actually one shot an NB with spectral bow. He only had 19k health but come on, that’s impressive.

I’ve been trying stampede for a day or two. The crit loss from not having ambush is negligible and the loss of the empower....well, we will see. But yeah, like you said, that snare.....it’s awesome. I haven’t tried NB without a gap closer though. I have spectral on my bow bar, may i should try shadow image or something in place of a gap closer for manuverability.

Yeah 2% crit is quite good, but considering the fact that you're replacing it with a skill that has a 100% crit chance its no big deal.

Back when the vMA weapons used to give Weapon Damage, I as playing without Executionner and with the Spectral bow on the front bar, since you don't actually NEED the execute on a Stamblade. But now that the vMA 2H is trash and the Asylum 2H is so bloody strong, I kinda adjusted. The one time where you really wish you had a gapcloser is when there's someone rezzing someone who you just killed. In most cases sprinting up the the target for the bash is fine, but in others you could be just too far away. But then against, even if the dude does get up, just shooting the Bow proc at his low health arse is usually enough to put them back to bed.

My main stamblade is DW/2H and is a ton of fun. She uses a mix of a few sets including Hundings, Spriggans but mostly - Cowards Gear. She is tiny and hits very very hard and if she can't finish off the kill - immovability potion AND RUN. Cowards Gear give some of the best defensive mobility in the game. Annnnd its fun to be able to out run most horses...
