Transmute Crystal Farming?

Between 2-3 characters how long would it take to farm like 150 transmute crystals? I know there's the daily ones you can get out of PvP but yesterday I got the daily box and 2 of my characters and only got 4-5 from each box....Kinda wondering cause Im farming a new build and I already know the 1h sword I'll be getting I'll have to transmute to Nirnhoned and my Skoria shoulder I'll have to transmute. in between a few characters doing various pvp campaigns (hitting the 1st rewards of the worthy per day) and some daily undaunted quests I have hit about 100/week...I imagine one could add nMA to the mix and score more? all without much challenge.

Not sure on exactly how long, but keep in mind normal trials are a good way to get them as well. You can receive them as a reward once per week, just like normal trial rewards.

Honestly…stick with the p v p the end of campaign will net you a lot. If you can get to tier 3 rewards on 3 toons you should have all you need. SO if you can wait for however long it takes til the current 30 day camp ends you can have the 150+ you need

correct. I think I ran it right after transmute was released and I could have sworn each round dropped a crystal.

just make some random alt characters and use the pvp trick.

Without buying extra character slots, that's minimum 4 per character with 8 characters, 32/day. So 150 will take a maximum of 5 days opening 1 box per character, 38 total boxes.

It depends... if the 30 day campaign is close to ending then you should focus one character at a time on getting to tier 3 rewards. When you get the RoTW mails open them on different characters.

Trial farming is better than PvP IF your guild is set up to run the short ones quickly. If you start pugging or guildies aren't bringing their best DDs then it's slower.

Running the easiest vet dungeon pledge on HM is pretty quick as well with a good group, do that on several characters.

The only way to get crystals in Maelstrom arena is by completing the arena on veteran mode.

The only way to get crystals in Maelstrom arena is by completing the arena on veteran mode.

PVP, all transmute crystals come from PVP. I get maybe 10 or so an hour in a good raid guild in AD. You could probably do double that in DC.

Screw PVE when it comes to tansmute crystals. Tiny little 1 crystal drops for most things. PVE may get you the gold but PVP gets you the diamonds.

pvp gives a ton. 4-25 crystal for every 20k AP. I've made 110 in one day.

I waited a few days after the release and normal didn't give the crystals. Either they stealth removed the rewards or they were not there.

Out of interest, what would be the approximate AP required for Tier 3?

It's 100k AP, although I've since heard you only need tier 1 (25K AP).

I've got some toons at tier 1 and 3 so I'll find out in a few days.
