Addressing the possible offbalance changes from an MDK perspective.

Everyone knows, MDK is rather reliant on offbalance for added DPS and sustain. Yada yada. The whole dps/sustain issues drill pls buff.

ZOSs proposed changes to offbalanced and their implications:

Only heavy attacks knocking down consumes it - Good change, bosses can't be stunned, so keeps offbalance high.

Offbalance has a cooldown - Very bad for DKs, yada yads sustain+deeps.

By the looks of it, whip will still consume, since the comment was relating to heavy attacks. The combo of which will make power whips, and by extent MDKs extinct if the second one goes off, then the cooldown is slapped on, they wpuld be like the kid with cooties that lowers everyones dps. Hell, people still argue that now.

What can be done to fix this. Make power lash work the same, if it stuns, it consumes, if not, it doesn't. A similar change will need to be implemented into PvP, since an offbalance cooldown will be similarly as annoying and the 1000th nail in the coffin post more planned block nerfs. My vote goes to making lash stun in PvP too. (They did nerf petrify after all.)

I want to talk about it but without testing it on PTS I can't really talk about such big changes.

Let‘s hope they are aware of how this would theoretically affect mDKs in PVE and adjust accordingly, or introduce something else in the mDKs‘ toolkit to make up for it, if it did end up making mDKs be the kids with cooties :-/
