Smart Loot for Marksman

@ZOS_GinaBruno So I know this has been brought up before but it needs to be addressed. The Smart Loot option is a great idea but it needs tweaked.
Marksman’s Crest is impacted by this, making ONLY Bows available on the loot table for Weapons. But the 5 piece set bonus benefits Stamina builds everywhere. Not just bow builds. Could this get addressed and fixed in a future update? It’s a simple improvement that only has benefits for players.

Seems other weapons already drop as some of them are available at guild stores. The numbers seem limited and expensive but both PC/NA and PC/EU have some showing on the TTC site.

Smart loot is good in theory, but it's not worth it. It causes more issues than it solves. The other weapons not bows all dropped before smart loot.

Agree. Marksman is a good all-around set and shouldn't be confined just to bows.

Those were all picked up pre patch. They don’t drop anymore.

Haha smart loot my a$$ -> rattlecage bows, spriggan resto staves, sword dancer destro staves and whole bunch of other stuff proves that feature like smart loot doesn't exist.

I guess you don't understand the thinking behind "smart loot"
The only weapons you can't get are weapons which can't benefit from the 5pc in any way.
E.G eagle eye swords, spider cultist sword
They do not restrict any weapons that could potentially work with the 5pc.
EG spriggan staves still receive the 3.5k pen

Yeah that is stupid but i have to say that i like this solution more than another way where they restrict drops likes swords for magicka sets or shields for offensive sets.
It sucks getting such crap but i take 3 resto staves over not getting the things I want anytime

the excuse ive heard for the current smart loot system is one way to encourage hybrid builds. not sure why anyone would want to run this:

I do agree with you that to much restrictions wouldn't be better at all, but lets be honest, If ZOS would actualy put some work into this "smart loot" we could have much less "OP" items like @Mojmir posted. There is something arround 330 sets currently (monster sets included). It would take 1 or 2 days to check sets weapons (as these are the problem in most of the cases) are they useful or not. I bet anyone of us could do it, but ZOS somehow can't

For outrageous prices. Nah. Not being lazy with the loot system sounds better than 250k for a Weapon.

Very narrow sighted view. Again, look at the 5 piece of Marksman. Only a bow build can run it with weapons. It limits its use in builds drastically. Why? Because reasons?

And while they are fixing that, the cost reduction should apply to sprint, roll, and block similar to how Alteration Mastery cost reduction works.

Now this is worse than the marksman set as the 5 piece bonus is destruction staff only while marksman has an cost reduction.
Bows in healer sets is my favorite, obviously with the powered trait

So, you would like to further dilute the loot tables so that it takes me another 400k AP to get through the Marksman greatswords and 1H axes ... to get my Marksman bow which is probably not an ideal trait??
