Before I begin I just want to apologise in advance if the long post, so I will hopefully try and keep it short.

“Nirn”

I would like to eventually see all the locations from the lore of Nirn to explore – so many epic adventures to be had.

“Multi-tiered locations”

It would be nice to see explorable zones within settlements, towns, and castles like dungeons, sewers, etc. – each kind of like a mini-delve with the occasional quest thrown in for the surprise. These tiers could be locked off initially and unlocked through progression in achievements, or finding of treasures, etc on ESO.

“Roaming quest givers”

Something which would certainly foster an immersive feeling to ESO, which I must admit is awesome already, would be the idea of roaming NPC quest givers.
Imagine if a group of travellers, patrols, bards, adventures moving from tavern to tavern, and through your adventures by visiting a tavern you might stumble into these quest givers. The idea that they never in the same place, and that their stories are never the same would complement the depth of the story. Giving beggars gold, or talking to townsfolk also opens opportunities for enriching playing involvement.

“More of the mundane, but still feeling of EPIC”

Imagine if you come across an old dilapidated farmstead in the middle of the nowhere, and you are asked to help repair the farmstead, by crafting furniture, walls, etc., helping with the harvest by creating alchemy "seeds', etc.
At the end of it you could walk away with a nifty prize & accolade and the knowledge that you helped someone in need, and where you were always welcome back to visit.
When you did you could get some sort of bonus or "happy meal", for a set time for example like in Grahtwood.
Helping that village of skeletons was truly epic, by the way! Completely unexpected and thoroughly EPIC when I got me a skeleton costume!

“Something Old, Something New”

Something that has always bothered me in MMO’s was nearing the end of a storyline. I was not ready to let go, if you can understand that. In many ways walking away from the story in ESO feelings like a little bit of the game has been lost to me.
I would like, more than anything, to see new stories emerging from old locations.
Messengers calling me back to Khenarthi's Roost following the re-emergence of some age-old foe!
Not sure if it’s possible, but it would be heartfelt for go back to check out how the world has moved on since I saved everyone with my rusty sword and pony.

Anyways, these are some of my ideas – feel free to leave your footprint!

    1. Stable 60+ FPS everywhere, including raids.

    2. Stable ping at least <150 <200 all the time.

    3. No bugs, no crashes, no infinite loading screens.

    4. Balance of classes so each class will be +/-5% equally strong as DPS, both stam and mag, so people can just play the class they enjoy the most.

And then we can talk about Nirn

great thread...this wish has been rolling around in my noggin for quite a while...

some of my favorite content in the game is the public dungeons, good stories, cool environments and most importantly - the ability to go through them at my own pace...

my wish of all wishes is for zos to create a public dungeon version of all the pledge dungeons...

my second wish would be to put the overland world bosses on some kind of mapped route like the district bosses in imperial city...let them roam around a bit and wreak some havoc...

All great ideas, personally. But you will always get the hoarde of complainers saying they can't find X and steamroll Y. Why are they "forced" to find something instead of just steaming through it in braindead mode. They tried making ESO more immersive at launch and a while after by removing the usual MMO tropes and even UI elements, but alas it sparked a mass outrage. It always does. If it's not like that "other game" it is bad.
ESO struggles and has always struggled with an identity crisis. It was trying to cater to Skyrim fans, traditional MMO fans, PvP fans with massive siege battles etc and in the end it ended up pleasing nobody.

MMO fans cried that it was too "Skyrim'ish" with the lack of UI elements, no HUD and only a handful of skills available at the time and limiting information forcing you to explore and find things on your own, and read dialogues and clues etc.
Skyrim fans cried that it has been made too "MMO'ish" with all the "on the rails MMO elements, systematic questing, unlocking, grind, progression-locks etc" and they could not indulge their single player driven power fantasy (with friends) and be the ultimate dragonborns (or dagoth urs or whatever the heck they roleplay as). PvP - that was just a mess and still is. Albeit a bit better now.

Great ideas in MMO's usually seem to cause more problems than they solve. If you just slightly deviate from the "norm" it will spark an outrage in one form or another. I can guarantee with almost 100% certainty if they implemented say, the travelling quest givers, the forums will be filled with complaints akin to: "I can't find the #$@%%#$ travelling bard. ZoS, you greedy $%^$%^ why do you FORCE me, [snip], to travel all over the map for a damn quest!? So unfair, refund demand! QQWTFBBQEARTHISFLAT!!!111oneone"

While I certainly agree with you that there are some folks that prefer speeding their way through content so that they can become the next Molag Bal (at least in their minds), a large portion of the community enjoy and yearn for an enriching experience.

In regards to the idea of traveling quest givers, they would always be at an Inn at some point, and the idea is that the randomness of their appearance is whats so special when you run into a quest. Its little different to the randomness of chests or resources. mats, etc. Its just another "form" of randomly located events.

Once the quest is picked-up though it would follow the same pattern as any other normal pattern. e.g. 'Once you free my dear wife from that troll-loving bandit, meet me at Wayrest by the Inn. Good luck!"

    1. NPCs already roam in ESO. Much more than any MMO I have played. Most MMOs they stand in one location and never move. Logically they are near some point for the quest.

    2. The story does continue after completing a story line, after completing every story line in the game. We get two updates a year with additional questing content and able to explore a new area with each.

It would not be a good use of resources to continuously update the existing zones as it would end up cluttering that zone and it does not bring in additional revenue.

Not sure why, but dreaming, fondly and vigorously are all trigger words for me.

The patrolling world bosses idea would be a great way to control the bots.
