Pet Control Please! D-Pad Down Button (Console)

Please give console users the OPTION to convert the D-Pad down button from 1st/3rd person swap to pet control (attack/defensive).

The Twilight summon for sorcerer either sits in red, or flies off to chase enemies and quickly die - making it unreliable to use in PVP. The option to make it more defensive (move out of red, and stay "home") would be fantastic. Please consider this change. The Daedric Summoning skill line is less fun and effective to use without pet controls.

Note: I can't speak for PC, but I have heard there are pet controls already. If so, perhaps the effectiveness of those controls would be worth examining as well to provide balance across all 3 systems.

I play on PC and yeah, there are pet controls. I also use a controller though, which means that other players can use pet controls, but I cant unless I use the keyboard. The option to bind a key to pet commands would definitely be appreciated.

We have been asking for years, way back before Pets came Meta but there seems to be a barrier to it.

Eventually they gave us Heavy Attack to target the pet at least.

Unsure why they cant do it on Console but there must be a reason, as it make no sense to have functionality on one platform and not others.

The heavy attack change was awesome for PVE. But in PVP sometimes there isn't someone in range to heavy attack, and the pet runs off anyway. It's so frustrating.

You can't use the quick press probably, as you would have to use shoulder buttons at the same time (block/attack). Holding it for longer lets you adjust how far the camera is behind you (which is really useful). There is one useless button assignment, though. Right button long press which brings emote wheel. On PC, when using controller, I assign pet command to dpad right long press. Works like a charm.

Once text chat was introduced on consoles, the emotes are useless. BTW, I chuckle every time when I see people performing the "Hello" and "Good bye" emotes. I either just type or use the damn voice chat to greet people in a group, which is the best thing on console version of ESO (on PC you have to use external programs, like discord, ts, skype and others).

PS. I'm playing on both kb&m and controller. Both have their pros and cons, but I'm sticking to the controller most of the time.

Really we should have the option to change all our inputs. On PC I can go in and "keybind" specific keys to specific actions, why is this not a function on console? Why are we arbitrarily limited in our button layouts? Why can't we disassociate dodge roll and block?
