I've been somewhat active in the dueling scene lately and I've been getting a lot of comments on the build that I've been running, ranging from how I'm running a cheesy dueling build to how cancerous the build is.

Funnily enough, the sole focus of the build was to play to the strengths of MagDK in open world and build a high pressure, high dps MagDK that doesn't rely on stacking spell damage and timing bursts to win fights.

But enough about my thoughts, here are some mediocre clips I manage to record with my limited playtime and the slow decay that is Sotha Sil.

Desperately need more DCs during prime time. I think only 4 DCs were on at 4pm EST on Saturday, one of which was my buddy.

Looks like a fun campaign to do some small groups. After the debacle I witnessed in vivec last night, I could be swayed to play no CP.

Nice clips! Had a lot of fun with kind of similar Durok build with lightning staff last year, and I feel lightning staff 7% AOE damage boost is a good synergy with mag DK AOE abilities.

But don't you find the free flame lash proc seems a lot less reliable after HOTR patch? Duration of concussed got reduced and it changed the way enchants work, so they are only based on your current bar, even affecting DoTs from your other bar. Ended up having to use charged sword as well and still doesn't proc as often. Before it was almost constant uptime.

If you're DC then there's good AP to be made during prime time. EP and AD were 3 bars to 1 DC last weekend, not sure how it's been looking through the week.

I only got interested in testing things with blockade after the changes to weapon traits and I wasn't really active on MagDK beforehand. It's a shame I missed out on having constant power lashes, sounded fun.

The surge farm was brutal. I hate farming so I just did 1-2 tempest island run every weekend until I finally got a sword a few 2-3 months later.
