Back with some old suggestions

I'm back again, and loving the new content, hating some of the changes to classes, that has left me broke, because I'm not a gold farmer, and LOVING seeing how Morrowind was intended to be seen, instead of the graphical misshap that was Elder Scrolls III.

With that said I have some quality of life suggestions I'd like to make.

First, Gathering nodes. Seriously. Stop making us fight for them. It's highly unfair that a new player who doesn't have a max speed mount, to keep losing out on gathering nodes needed to complete crafting writs in any zone. Make it so that everyone who can see it can gather from it, like in Guild Wars 2, or make it like in Tera, where if I start to gather, someone else has time to also gather, and we both get the materials from it and poof, gone for everyone, until it respawns.

Second Suggestion. Give every player a crafting bag. Doesn't have to be huge. 100 slots for just crafting materials alone should be more than enough, and go ahead and keep the 200 stack limit. And so that the ESO+ members don't feel cheated for paying the money, go ahead and give them unlimited bag or bank space along with the unlimited Crafting bag. OR, instead of that, give every player an equipment bag, so that we have a place to keep items we are going to use for research, deconstructing, or gear sets for people who both tank and DPS, so that our inventories and banks are crowded with these items.

Third. PLEASE let us rearrange our character lists. I don't care how this one gets implemented, just please let us do it.

Fourth. Make our setting changes universal. If I set my Num/ to RP walk on one character, I don't want to have to do it to the other seven. If I turn off Tutorials, because I already know how to play the game, and am making an alt, because I want an Archer/Animal Companion Warden, do not want to fumble through settings to turn it and the profanity filter off again. I am NOT offended by swearing.

"...the graphical misshap that was Elder Scrolls III"

Dude, that Game is older than parts of ESOs playerbase. What do you expect from a 15yo game?

As for your suggestions, I don't think the free craft bag will or should happen. Many sub perks become meaningless once you advance in the game (xp gain, research time), I doubt they will further decrease the incentive to sub. After all, they should add more convenience additions to ESO+ so more people will sub. But as of right now, you can very well play the game without, it's just more convenient to pay, exactly as it should be.

However, I'm all for your last two points.

    1. Gathering nodes for everyone. Would be nice.
    2. Free crafting bag. It's not gonna happen. And it shouldn't. I understand that it always painful to manage all that resources. I'm not ESO+ user, but at least I can use addons on PC. On consoles it's gonna be a nightmare without addons. But crafting bag is actually the only reason for many people to sub. Also it seems like server limits theory make sense too.
    3. Characters rearrange must be since day one in all MMOs.
    4. Separated UI and button map settings is the best way for MMOs. Besides, I don't think you need to remap buttons every day.

One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

    1. There are tons of nodes in game and zones that are open and available for everyone. If your goal is raw materials (and not nirncrux or viridian dust) new players can go anywhere in the game and there are plenty of areas that are not overrun with farming characters.

    2. Most players don't use all of their available bag and bank space because it costs a lot of money. However, until they do, there's no reason for ZOS to give players any additional spaces not attached to ESO +. If you have 8-14 characters all with maxed bag space, then you might have cause for complaint. Otherwise, ZOS has given you the opportunity to earn more inventory space.

    3. Sure, why not.

    4. Sure, why not. Though its certainly easier for the developers to have every new character revert to the default setting and let the player customize it how they want than it is to carry over settings from a different character which the player will then probably want to change anyway.

Suggestions 3 and 4 would be great. I HATE having to change my settings across all characters. Super annoying. Of course there's gonna be some guy somewhere that says he likes the current way because for some reason he uses different options for different characters. I just don"t see 1 and 2 ever being implemented especially number 2.

    1. Not on my list of concerns.
    2. No, but see below
    3. I don't think a single player would object so yes, they should do it.
    4. There should be a toggle that lets you "Make these settings the default for all Characters".

And yes, the profanity filter should really be turned OFF by default. It wouldn't let me type "words per minute" in chat the other day because of the secret naughty word in the middle. Really? I mean...Really?

Additional suggestion I've been making for like 2 years now: Sell bank slots for 100 crowns each. You can have as many as you want. It would be like a total gold rush/cash cow for Zenimax. It blows my mind that they haven't sent me a big check and a thank you letter for the idea.

Lets get some more support/feedback for this.

As for the people saying no to the nodes. I've lost count of how many times, because of my innate speed as a Nightblade Vampire/Shadow, that I've gotten to a nide, not realizing there's a new player on my literal tail heading for the same node, and then I gathered it first. I feel bad afterword, because they're trying to work just as hard as I am to get this stuff, and I have an advantage they don't have yet. Speed.

Also the "There are plenty of nodes" argument, isn't really a viable reason. I know some of the better areas that are rarely traveled to gather nodes like minerals and runes, and every so often, I come through and find those routes barren. So fact is, while there may be a tone of nodes, depending on the traffic in that region, at a given time, they may have already been taken and be on a respawn timer. Please, I politely ask that you step outside of your narrow minded window and take a look at the full spectrum of possible scenarios, before just shutting a quality of life improvement down.

no. and this is coming from someone who gets to a node first and then someone walks up and steals it while my ping seems to make me get back on my mount instead of harvesting when i press "e". highly unfair? that someone who has spent more time and gold in game than you can move faster? you need to go re-read the dictionary definition of unfair pettle.
Second Suggestion. Give every player a crafting bag.

    definitely no. sub you freeloader.

no. what if you are a parent and your child plays a character on your account? you do not want the same settings as them. as im writing this, i seem to remember this being one of the original arguments as to why not to do this and here it is again.

quality of life? are you kidding? quality of life is not 'i got beaten to a node so i demand every person has their own node' - that has absolutely NOTHING to do with quality of life and everything to do with greediness and whining.

Fourth. Make our setting changes universal.

First suggestion I've never had a significant problem with. I hardly ever get beaten to a node and only ever run to them as I rarely bother with my mounts because of the need for constant mounting/dismounting when stopping off at harvesting nodes, so it's not that I'm faster than anyone else, I just don't find them competitive on the whole.

Second suggestion I disagree with. ESO+ incentives are there for a reason, and by and large the only people with inventory management problems either don't subscribe despite being players whose playstyle means they would benefit the most from doing so, are inveterate hoarders when they really don't need to be, haven't maxed out their inventory and bank slots anyway, or are a combination of all three!

Third suggestion, I have no problem with it although despite having over 20 characters across two accounts I would never use it or see any reason for it. How difficult is it to click on the third character down rather than the one at the top? I can understand wanting this in a game like LoTRO where the character list is spread over several screens, but in ESO? I struggle to understand the need for this every time it comes up, but there'd be no reason not to have it (although I'd like the option to lock the character screen).

Fourth suggestion, I have no problem with account-wide character settings provided they are optional. I'd want a simple toggle setting so you can either standardise settings across your characters or customise them individually. I might not want all my characters with the same setting for hiding/showing helmets etc, but for things like key binds then account-wide settings would generally work ok.

    1. The game is in its 3rd year no one is fighting over nodes
    2. Free crafting bag. It's not gonna happen. And it shouldn't. Storage is important, I would say a corner stone of mmo -ing play
Peeps hve quit mmo's because of lack of stoage. Good incentive to sub
    3. Characters rearrange must be since day one in all MMOs. Agree
    4. Separated UI and button map settings is the best way for MMOs. Besides, I don't think you need to remap buttons every day. ???? not sure what your talking about

Okay. If you can't be polite in what you have to say. Don't even bother responding here. Calling people freeloaders, because they don't have the spare cash to throw 14.99$ a month at Zenimax for things like the crafting bag, because they value having food more than video game perks, is crossing a line.

Seriously. I wish that people with that mentality could be banned from the game, just for thinking that everyone should have to pay a fee to play it. Look at Guild Wars 2. It gives the base game away for free, has two expansions, and a constantly rotating cosmetic market, and thrives fantastically, with ZERO subscription options. A game can survive without your fifteen dollars a month, PLEASE, for the love of what ever greater being you believe in, stop acting as if this game needs you to survive.
