I just saw a player farming with about 20 clannfear and twilight... I took some screenshots but it has the player name so I can't post it publicly. Is this a known bug? Is it an exploit?

    It could be that really old bug where you can summon multiple times, been over a year since I heard about it though

    That's almost definitely a bot, and you should report them. They're probably utilizing a bug/exploit that lets you have multiple of the same type of pet out (used to be able to do it with lag, but I *think* ZOS has made it harder).

    You sure it's not 20 bots stacked perfectly on top of each other? That seems more likely, but otherwise, uh, kind of impressive really. Still wrong! But impressive.

    There's about 7 bots here. Uploading a video to YouTube and sending it to mods. Unbelievable.

    yeh, i cant wander through Grahtwood without running into a gang of them, it's very off-putting

    Known bug, you can spawn multiples of the pets via lag-switching.
    Sometimes this happens to me on accident when there's bad server lag and i end up with two Clannfears.

    However, in your case that was obviously done on purpose by lag-switch exploiting.

    if you put the exact location as detailed as possible, which server, which platform and rough idea of what they are farming enemy wise, admins tend to get right on it :)
    edit it into the top post ;)

    just make sure to tag the right folks @zos

    Bot or not it's still something that should be reported. Even with the old bug it's certainly an exploit worth some sort of ban. Cannot be unintentionally on the players side.

    yes, their name always starts with some random xfghbsc1232, they are for sure not bots :smiley:


    and everyone of them has a pile of monsters under him :smiley:

    seems 100% like no bots, no :smiley:

    Report them regardless, but don't feel bad or anything because there's a 99% chance they're a bot. And if you ended up with 20 pets as a single legit player, you're still doing something bad.

    This is one of those hotspots for botting. They should constantly be monitored for these trains, imo.

    Huh, never happened to me. Though, yesterday my magsorc got tripple hardened ward from one cast (I just saw that my shield is bigger than my HP in BG) and when I went to character menu, I saw tripple hardened wards in active buffs... :smiley: oh boi, I bet this will happen more often

    I had it, it happens then you summon them during lag spikes I think. 20 would require an clear exploit, note that you can create client lag running an program who use almost all cpu power or memory.
    I thought this was fixed but appears to be back.
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Actually they have been doing a pretty good job @Cazzy, considering the other major game issues that have been making it pretty unplayable. One such recent one was during the last event where it was impossible to get your random because of the broken group finder. If you are just returning you will see a lot of new changes, some good some not. :)

    In all of the time I’ve played ESO I have never seen that many bots at once! :open_mouth:

    It would take a Gamemaster like 10min to delete them all. But you know.... $150 Crown Store homes and all that....

    When I report bots absolutely nothing changes. Hopefully your uncovering of this massive farming operation will actually cause ZOS to act. Who knows.

    Go to the North Eastern Shore in Grahtwood on PC EU and you will see dozens of bots EVERY SINGLE DAY.

    I realized by now that reporting them is pointless. Zenimax doesn’t try to keep them away effectively.
