is everything ok with VMA

i have noticed somebugs..some non boss mobs do dumb damage...

Taking Aim is the attack with an extremely long telegraph (at least 5 seconds) so yeah, that's normal.

It's the one where the archer lifts their bow up in the air for a couple of seconds, and then slowly lowers it and aims at at you for another couple of seconds before finally letting the arrow loose.

Well, there might be bugs, but what you posted is perfectly normal, and part of the intended mechanics. "Taking Aim" is a particular attack that archers in vMA have. It takes a long time to charge up and can be interrupted (you can tell they're charging it up because they glow red/orange), but it really punishes you for not interrupting the archer.

You aren't bashing the adds. Look for the archers and bash them when they're glowing and they have red sparks. It's hard to notice with the chaos, but they'll also say "taking aim!"

Read our comments above -- Taking Aim is supposed to one-shot you if you don't interrupt it. That's how vMA has always worked.

You don’t have to bash, crushing shock is your best friend in vma.

I think the taking aim also makes your character glow BRIGHT FREAKIN RED too. Just bash or kill the archer before he finishes his like, 5 minute long glowing red wind up.

These are the same things as in craglorn or SO.

Remember, mobs are also empowered by the ghosts.

You must've not been there at Craglorn launch when they first introduced Taking Aim for archers. Man, wiping on open world trash as a 3 man was unforgettabe! I think by now Taking Aim reaction is in my muscle memory...

Watch out for it now that you know they do it - archers will lift the bow in the air for like full 3-5 seconds, display interrupt telegraph and scream "TAKING AIM!" just in case you missed the first tell. You can either bash/cc them or dodge it. You will see a kind of red glow on yourself right before it hits you - if you dodge as soon as you see it, you'll still be fine, just go take that archer down already

Also just before he shoots it at you, your chest will glow the same color. A couple weeks ago I almost had a flawless run ruined by leaving an archer alive because I thought my DoTs would finish him off. He wasn't on my screen but my chest started to glow so I was able to dodge roll it and ended posting my highest score on that run which would've been ruined by that potential death.

Bash the archer or dodge at the last moment of him shooting.

Taking aim will 1 shot, you can either "clutch roll" which is way more fun or you can bash/skill interupt.

Wildfire will also creep up in damage so watch that too.
