Post CWC mDK heavy attack build?

I was thinking about trying a heavy attack build with my mDK (in preparation for a block nerf) and I was wondering what everyone considers a good heavy attack build. I was thinking:

5 Elegance (buffs heavy attack)
5 Infallible Aether (buffs heavy attack and debuffs enemy)
1 Kena

I was going to run destro/resto with the following rotation:

Molten Armaments- Inner Light- Hold heavy attack- follow with a Stone Giant.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

The new monthly "combat thoughts" show that they are not happy with pvp sword/board users blocking as they do. mDK just so happens to be the only class to use blocking as the base mechanic for literally everything pvp.

If you want heavy attacks you should use infused enchant procs. Although a mDK will never compete with 2h heavy attacks from a stam build. You can try the fire staff but it's not very reliable since we cant purge or move around. I tried destro/resto back when malestrom first came out. You should get around 10k damage total from heavy attacks but again there is no way to use this against melee builds as you have 0 movement mechanics.

Really mDK's are better of light attacking with double bash. More reliable and only does a liittle less damage. 2 bashes, 1 light attack, 1 flame lash and 1 enchant proc so 5 hits in the time it takes to cast flame lash. Expect around 5-8k damage.

I say don't play mDK for anything other than tanking now. It just costs too much to have survive ability and damage for mDK's. At least while champion points are a thing, really wish they never added them.

I'd recommend taking a look at this build: Elemental Fury

The build was last updated around HoTR, but still works great. With it I'm hitting 37K on the test dummy completely self buffed.

I'll update it this weekend, currently taping new vma runs so I can update these guides

Awesome! Many thanks for this build... it's my favorite DPS toon to play. I'm looking forward to the update.
