Dear ZOS, please learn from your player feedback for future events.

In game events are great, in that they probably bring back inactive players or attract new players to come and play the game. However, the way that you handle these events and the rewards involved needs to be modified. Most events are a grind fest, whether it be grinding for plunder skulls or grinding dungeons in order for players to get the rewards. The repetitive nature of the game is something that can't really be helped, therefore to balance it out, the rewards should actually feel rewarding.

The main goal is to make the first reward all the way to the last feel like the player has accomplished or got something nice. And I'm not saying to get rid of the RNG aspect of rewards and just give people set rewards for reaching each milestones. I feel like that would be way too far fetched for ZOS to implement something like that. In addition, RGN adds disappointments but also excitement so it balances out in the end.

In my opinion, and based on most of the player feedback, common "trash" items should be removed from the loot table from events. These would be items such as dead branches, lock picks, treasure maps, potions etc. Basically anything that the player can get in game through normal game play that carry no inherent rarity or value. This does not mean that the drop rates for the rare items should be higher. Instead, trash items are replaced with tokens, and with these tokens, you can redeem the rare items after you collect a certain amount, similar to transmutation.

Eg. Let's take this dungeon event for example, lock picks, potions, treasure maps, mimic stones etc are replaced with tokens. Everything else stays the same so you still have a chance to loot furnishing plans, mounts, costumes etc on the rare occasion. However, after every 20 tokens or so, you can trade that for a costume/mount/pet of your choosing that's within the loot table. This makes the player feel like they are working towards something, making grinding less tedious, and "crappy" rewards something that they can use towards the good ones.

Please learn from your mistakes ZOS, and take player feedback into consideration for future events.
