Hello everyone,

I'm absolutely loving the trial on PS4 and was wondering what people's opinions were on the best version of the game for a new NA PS4 player to purchase? With the sales on PlayStation Network, the base game is currently $9.99 and the gold edition is $29.99 through December 7th. You can also find a complete copy of Morrowind with base ESO at Best Buy for $23.99 with Gamer's Club Unlocked. Do you get crowns with any specific version? Is it worth getting the gold edition at $29.99 with the first four expansions? Would it be better to just get the base game for now and then upgrade to Morrowind when it's on sale?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

    Hi PS4 NA player here,

    First off, are you planning to go physical or digital?

    I ask because IIRC you need to put the disc in the PS4 every time you want to run the game. Digital you need around 80gig's+ free on the hard drive to install the game--however you don't need the disc to play.

    Secondly, the Gold Edition and Morrowind have content unlocked that are specific to your tastes. So, what do you like to do?

    I'll give you a quick run down of what comes in Gold, then Morrowind;

    Gold Edition has;
    1. Imperial City: It's a PvE/PvP zone, two PvE dungeons come with it, the Imperial City main quest focuses on helping NPC in the different areas of the city. You fight enemy NPC and enemy alliance players at the same time.
    2. Orisinum: PvE only zone, comes with Maelstorm arena, the Wrothgar main quest focuses on helping Orcs in various towns
    3. Thieves Guild: Pve only zone, comes with Maw of Lorkaj Trial, Thieves Guild main quest focuses on stealth and stealing
    4. Dark Brotherhood: Pve only zone, Dark Brotherhood main quest focuses on killing NPC

    Morrowind Upgrade comes with just the Morrowind zone itself, the Warden Class, Halls of Fabrication Trial, and a couple of other goodies.

    Damn this one will be tough.

    ESO Gold is better than buying the base game + DLC.
    As for $29.99 you get; ESO + 4 DLC + 500 Crowns + Mount
    Base Game ($9.99) + Guilds and Glory: The 4-DLC Mega-Pack (5,500 C - $39.99 USD) = $59.98

    ESO Gold + Morrowind is better than Morrowind + DLC.
    Morowind ($29.99) + Guilds and Glory: The 4-DLC Mega-Pack (5,500 C - $39.99 USD) = $69.98
    ESO Gold ($29.99) + Morrowind ($29.99) = $59.98

    Notes:-
    You could probably save more as well buy checking for a copy of gold in physical form online via reputable retailers like Amazon.
    DLC costs can be cheaper if done via Crown sale or when DLC is on sale.

    I think that's all correct, I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

    You could just buy Morrowind for like $10
    Then pay for ESO+ monthly which gives you all the DLC and crowns every month anyway
