VMA RESET (explain pls)

Hello, fairly new player here needed help with some vma related stuff.

I created a sorc last weekend and with a help of a friend i grinded up from 1 to 290 cp
got a bunch of pve sets to try on vma (currently using the pet build with necropotence/julianos/1 domihause)

This week was my firs time attempting vma (i ran normal mode first one time, i think i died 2 times) jsut to test the build etc..

The vma mode, well i started yesterday afternoon and i lost count of how many times i died(ashamed to tell you how many hours i was there), but i did make it to the last boss ( i think i can do it

BUT, it was way too late and i had to go to bed(im already going to be zombie today at work).

Now, my questions are :

-How many maelstrom weapons drop at the end?(i really only want the inferno staff)

-Can i re-trait maesltrom weapons?

-HOW DOES THE RESET WORK? im asking this because, through out the day i had to keep quiting the game and re-opening to fix fps loss(is this normal?).Basicly after a few attempts i would lose fps ( from steady 80-100 to a very stuttering 40 fps) and restarting the game would fix it.
BUT, after already deciding that i was going to bed nonetheless, i restarted the game one more time and when i got back i didnt load inside maesltrom but in wrothgar and i the arena had reseted form the last boss stage all the way to 1st stage!Honestly if i wasnt going to bed i would probably breake my keyboard.....

So, hwo does the reset work, if im at a certain stage when/how does it reset? I hoep i beat it tonight but i dont want to be risking restarting the game and then starting vma all over...AND it would be awsome to be able to save ur reset at whatever stage ur in so u can keep trying next day (for exemple if 2nigth iw as starting at the last phase of the last boss im sure i would have enough time to beat it.

-Finally, and less importante, it does get easier right?i mean..i guess my first timemtrying i was expecting endless hours of wipping...but once u do it u can probably finish it in 1 hour right?


(oh, is VDSA harder?..i wanted the masters stafff more then the maelstrom but i cant find a gorup to run it...)

VMA restart at the first round of the arena you're in :

For example, if you stop at arena 5 round 3, you will restart at arena 5 round 1

Exception : very quick disconnection/reconnection (less than 2 minutes?) then you restart exactly where you were

As long as you still have the quest, you'll start at the stage you were at. Your quest will tell you which one it was.

Yes you can retrait it and since CWC you can enchant it too.

If you collect the quest as you go in it saves your stage progress but not round. I.e. On last stage, if you get to Voriak (final boss) and log out for more than a few minutes you will do the whole stage again.

If you dont take the quest you will start from the beginning.

ALSO. Be sure your group setting is set to Veteran. Otherwise its on Normal and you will not get a weopon, only the standard MSA sets.

And yes it gets easier. I was prob 20 hours run 1, then 3 on run too and by run 5 1:15-30. Shortly after at the hour mark.

So..i picked the quest and completed it with the normal run and handed it in..so now im screwed and cant "save" my progresso anymore?...rip!

As I mentioned in my message : you restart at the first round of the arena you were in.

no... It's a repeatable quest, so you can pick it up from the dremora girl in front of the door every time you go into the arena.

No, you can set it to veteran and take the quest again (it's a daily quest). You pick it up, run a few stages and then decide to continue the next day, let's say you stop at stage 5, you'll be able to start on stage 5 the next day. As long as you don't abort the quest.

If you aim for farming, arena resets after 6 minutes being outside of it.

Actually you're not screwed, the quest is dailie, so just pick it up on the next day and you shoul dbe good to go.

Even if you dont have the quest its not that bad. It gives you a lot of routine for the earlyier stages and you will get throuh them in notime.
