This skill has absolutely terrible spell damage scaling compared to other spells in the game. Serously 0.00001 spell damage, thats nuts. Playing with my in-game tooltip and stats the UESP values appear to me to be correct.

Is this skill bugged, or is it just intended to be terrible?

    Thanks for posting this. Clearly something is not right with night blade shades, and I am inclined to think it is a bug rather than intended.

    Here is another recent post that shows something is wrong with shade damage.

    In order to test the skill, i kill the precursor dummy just with the shades, i applied ele drain to show that penetration can not be the issue.
    With ele drain my penetration is at around 13k, so only 5.2k from the 18.2k of veteran mobs which is aroudn 10% damage.

    Loking at the parse, it just doesnt add up at all:

    So the tooltip says 1,648, and the HIGHEST hit, thus a critical strike with 76% additional critical damage does 1,647?

    Something is very very off here, the shades should deal a lot more damage than this. Also, the damage they do is not shown as damage numbers from the ingame combat numbers, as opposed to the sorcerer scamp for example.

    @ZoS_GinaBruno, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom , please investigate.
    #1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

    Actually, it seems all pets are not affected by spell/weapon damage buffs, or by very very little if at all.

    I just tested my sorcerer hitting Power Surge for 20% spell/weapon damage buff and the pet tool-tips for both the pet damage and the active ability, in this case the twilight matriarch heal, did not change at all.
    They do change for max magicka buffs such as slotting Bound Aegis and activating it.

    This is definitely a very bad very widespread bug.

    @ZOS_Wrobel How did you let this slip past? @ZOS_GinaBruno / @ZOS_JessicaFolsom can you please notify Wrobel about this if he isn't viewing the forums to see this or misses it?
