im pretty sure i haven't seen any magblades using fortified brass, but it would definitely make you pretty tanky if thats what you're going for. However other defensive sets like transmutation or wizard's riposte offer more helpful 2-4 piece set bonuses imo.

im not too sure about rattle though, i feel like using sap essence or entropy is easy enough on a nightblade to find a slot for. or at the very least using spell power pots should do the trick. I would drop either mark or magelight if you decided to do this. Then decide on a more offensive set such as war maiden or julianos.

Damage wise you're a bit lower than me, but not far off. off the top of my head I have about 10.6k damage on my swallow soul buffed, and 22.5k ish on my merciless. It could be higher for me, but I run with more recovery than you do from jewelry and atro stone. I also noticed you don't run an execute, which can of course be worked around. I dont slot one either, but I also slot skoria to help seal some kills outside of ult combos. I would atleast give impale a shot and see how it goes. maybe drop magelight for impale?

sustain wise I know people do well with a ~10k stam pool, but I just can't deal with that low of a stam pool since i dont use cloak, that'll have to be up to your own preference.

It more comes down to what you feel that your build is lacking. Not doing enough damage? not tanky enough? can't sustain? Of course change accordingly if you can identify them yourself.

I think you meant Spell Damage there

Amber Plasm + Shacklebreaker + 1 Domihaus is your best friend . Raw stats and recoveries will benefit your Survivability far more than Resistances. Also make sure you have at least 56 points in to Ironclad ( the most important CP stats for survivability) and use Tristat enchants on ALL pieces of gear .
