Do the event boxes always give a crown store item??

I just got one that did not have a crown store item in it.. Just undaunted plunder and a key... Anyone know if this is meant to be? The reward box says open to receive a crown store item.. Id appreciate any info thanks.

They give a variety of things some crown store some not.

Edit: For what it's worth my personal cynical translation of phrases like "contain a variety" in conjunction with "reward boxes" is that it contains 90% stuff I don't want/need/never would buy, 9% ok stuff I'd keep and 1% stuff I'd want.

hmm well i did get a CWC furnishing recipe which is nice.. Idk why the hell they put in a jackpot with that much stuff.. noone needs 20 homes, they should have just put houses in the boxes as like top rewards and then had the jackpots like grand topal or something.. either way its cool though.
