I am 8 months old trying to access the ESO website

I made a mistake when visiting the ESO website and said I was born in 2017. Now I get the access denied message and don't know how to clear it so can't buy crowns.

I tried clearing cookies but no joy.

As you can see I am quite advanced for an infant with my ability to type and clear cookies. Do I have to wait for 17 years to buy crowns now?

Purge the cookies, clear the cache, restart the browser... or just try logging in on a different browser.

oh dear lol, the one time it remembers a birth date added to it without asking you again hahaha. I'm so sorry. WHY is 2017 as a birth year even an option? Do they get many babies trying to check the website out?

Happened to me too, but then I deleted system32 and was good to go.

(This is a joke. Do NOT do that). You can try a different browser. It worked for me.

Hehe. Yeah I get asked every time I use the website. It doesn't trust me when I say I am over 18. one time I claim to be under 1 it takes that as gospel and refuses to let me change it. What a ridiculous piece of code.

I have reset cookies and all internet history, restarted phone (I forgot to mention I am the first toddler to effectively operate a smart phone, but I guess if Paris Hilton can then it's not so special that a toddler can), yet still that site thinks I am 8 months old.

Since I am on phone I don't want to abandon Chrome to get another browser. In addition my mommy had disabled access to the play store and i don't know the password so I can't get a new browser even if I wanted to.

ok maybe way old, but long ago on my first second hand Pre-windows DOS PC, i lost the command.com aka the command interpreter. Couldn't do anything…and i had my homework a research paper on that thing, luckily my teacher was cool enough to give me an extra day, and i got my friends to copy the command.com from each of their PCs and put em on the ole floppy discs until one worked….still have nightmares i have a paper due and a bad or missing command interpreter

Well, seeing as how ESO lacks children, having players in that age group may incentivize ZoS to have child npcs to relate to them.

But honestly. Abandoning chrome because this is set and cannot change? That's ridiculous.

It will expire, eventually. I think the age gate has a 7day or 30 day timer on it. (I'm not sure on the exact value because I interact with the main site so rarely.

Does it work if you use private mode in your browser?

If so then clear your cache as well as cookies.

The logic, as it was explained to me once, is that kids tend to be initially honest about their age. Ask it, and they will cough up the real number. Then, after that, they'll try lying to get past your block. So, they screw up once, and you lock them out. That said, I've never verified that explanation, so it might not be completely true.

Of course, if you were old enough to drink, before the age gate's cutoff year, and you just made an idiotic typo...

Yes its an impressive bad system.
So bad It require some skills think wiping repeatably in first trash in Wayrest 1.

Some issues 1) 95% of people with too low birth date has miss typed it, its no point of storing it.
2) the age verification is some stupid legal requirement, don't think its required to lock you out if too low age.
Even if just logging in on your account should bypass it for obvious reason.

More so as if you come from this forum its no need to check for birth date anyway, yes you get that idiot system even from the announcement pop ups.

More idiotic in that this is trivial to change just move the store birth date as cookie a few lines down so its only stored if passed.
