What is your worst day in ESO

Getting booted from Banished Cells 2 on veteran...because I started the fight without "reading the scroll" ...which everyone knows there is no scroll, but a conditional hard-mode instead.....

I got booted, told to "F" off, and received hate mail for being a noob.....The leader (tank) of the 3 man team booted me....ran up to me and whispered " Get F'd". Alrighty then....

Getting booted over player ignorance pisses me off the most.

Not so much one day, as this went on for a couple weeks.

Back around launch, there was a rare bug, where your gear would deteriorate whenever anyone in your immediate vicinity earned XP. This meant your gear would start to degrade pretty much immediately, and completely break after a couple hours of play. Also, if you were affected, it was account wide. This is also back when it was very difficult to earn money. Some of you probably remember when you'd kill a mob and walk away with 1g about 10% of the time.

Go on the forums to report this and... I got trolled. Idiots blundering in, insisting that your gear degrades from taking damage (it does not), and that clearly I just sucked at the game and needed to stop dying.

Ironically, one of the only times I've ever been directly censured for my behavior on the boards.

My worst day in ESO was when I had gotten into a rather heated debate with someone who was not only a guild officer of a relatively popular guild I was in, but was also like a good friend in a sense...

They were upset, because I had went and gotten my VMoL clear with a different group of people outside of the guild. Rather than getting it with those who I had been doing “progression runs” with inside of the guild. And the day prior, the guild I was in at the time had gotten to Rakkat for the first time.

Upon him finding out that I had completed VMoL without him, or the guild I was in at the time — we got into a very anger and profanity-filled argument. Lots of drama, insults, etc. were thrown around, and it ultimately ended with me abandoning that guild. And pretty much me ceasing to affiliate myself with any of its members from then on... Here I was having completed VMoL finally, and what I received in return for it from those who I felt were “friends” was nothing but extreme hostility and negativity. I had earned my VMoL skin, at the cost of an entire guild. As well as my ESO reputation as a whole on PS4-NA. But even worse, I had lost the bond between myself and someone who I felt was like a brother to me on a personal level; over a video game. . .

That was the most critical point in my ESO experience after that... It was something that actually hurt my feelings to the core, and made me never want to truly allow myself to become “attached” to another guild on ESO again. Let alone person on ESO. I felt: Betrayed, belittled, disrespected, and hurt on that day. And that was the day, where I became the person you all know of today on ESO.

The very first time I ever played an Argonian character, someone came up to me and did the "vomit" emote on me .... three times. Puked all over me. I have NO CLUE why. Maybe he hated Argonians? LOL. Or maybe it was just completely random and he thought it was funny. I have no idea. It annoyed me at first, but now I think it's funny.

Guild drama for me mostly but I do remember some frustrating moments in pvp. Unlike the guild drama, that never lasted an entire day tough.

2 worst days

One is not IN eso, but being kept out of ESO. They had updated the game and stopped supporting an earlier OS i was running. I had to choose between updating my MAC or playing my game which i had just renewed 3 months of ESO+. I couldn't bring myself to update because my creative suites6 won't run properly on the newer OS, and those programs were my $$ as a designer. Luckily the Wife is awesome and just said "buy a second computer and shut up about your damn game!" oh i love her.

In game was during the mid year mayhem when PVP queues were like 300 deep. I remember waiting it out and getting in, and got into a sweet epic battle at Chalmens only to have a power outage and not get power or internet back for 5 hours.

when they announced that the sub was going away and I instantly knew the game was ruined since there was going to be a cash shop.

Yeah, I've got MMO horror stories like that, but none in ESO. TSW and STO hold particular bitter moments for me.

EDIT: Still have fond memories of using my clanfear as a bloodhound in Cyrodiil to track down fleeing sorcs. Good times.

Probably the day when it lost its novelty to me and became a game, where you either try to kill stuff faster or enable others to kill stuff faster. I couldn't point a single day, but it has happened sometime between fourth and sixth month of playing the game. It's never been the same since.

Mmm my worsts days are related to technical issues. Like these days we are having a lot of disconnects and that ruins everything.

I know that probably you don't care and still prefer the subscription model with less people, but this f2p model made the game available for many of us who can't spent $15 per month either because we live in a place where the dollar costs 10 times more or x reason.

I was waiting the announcement to come back to eso since day 60 after beta, and it was probably my happiest day in ESO.

Finally got that damn BSW shield. It dropped and it was a Santa/M&M moment... "They really do exist!"

I was farming Darkshade caverns for strenght of automation set.
It wasn't a pleadge so I spend an hour in queue just waiting. Finally got a group but very clearly it wasn't going well.. so someone quit and we had to wait for another.... we just waited an hour.. so the wait dragged on and people started quitting. Until it was just me and one person I had managed to wrestle in from one of my guild the queue was still searching and I had to give up.

The next day I did the same thing 1 hour queue, When the queue popped I was in the middle of something, just questing about and for whatever reason I was not automatically ported.. When I finished the quest and ported in they had almost finished the dungeon.

the third day I did the same (another hour wait) but this stage I was actually just one necklace away from a set. We defeat the finial boss and I ask if anyone has the necklace. Someone links it and asks if that was what I was looking for. I said yeah and asked if I could have it. And they said "No only tanks and healers get gear from me".

That was when I wanted to rage quit forever... after all that..
