Are we really worried about that still? I have 367 something skill points and I have 40 left over.

yeah 1 point doesn't seem much. However it means it's sth that exclusive to new characters

If this problem is not properly addressed I wouldn't be suprise if ZOS go on "this this and that will be new character exclusive since majority didn't care anyway"

Fixing this problem should be easy on ZOS side and they haven't done it in months says sth

There are far more pressing matters. It’s one skill point.

Funny how people still dwell on this... it's an incentive for players to create new characters and thus spend more time in the game; the more hours put in, the more chances people will buy from the Crown Store. In-genius marketing strategy. I have no doubt the next Chapter will introduce yet another 'starter' quest awarding a skill point, but you won't have the option to do Morrowind starter quest anymore with the new character, so basically all 'new' characters post-Morrowind will have just that one extra point.

so ZOS is ingenius for giving post-vanilla characters 1 extra skill point? Interesting I thought you "don't care" ppl think it's a tiny problem.

And if every chapter provide that 1 extra point it should be an even easier issue
Give all pre-morrowind characters an extra point, and for ppl with no chapter, give them an extra point upon character creation, and no more fixes are needed

My main is a master crafter, a werewolf, has both medium and heavy armor skills max, and has a bunch of skills and morphs I hardly use. Still have 9 points left and many skyshards yet to go.

If we gotta miss one due to oversight that's not that big a deal. Let em fix the real problems first.

Such as the load screen buff, and performance issues (I'm saddened that they have to roll back the performance update to fix the load screens). I'd like to get that fixed before worrying about skill points... Besides, I've gotten all the ones I can get on my main except for a good portion of the PvP skill points, and still have like 10 or so left over. Note that my main is maxed and pointed into all crafting, my PvE skills are all set, and I have PvP skills set for when I do PvP, as well as a bunch of world and guild skill lines maxed and pointed into, such as Vampire, Thieve's Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Legerdemain, etc.

Perhaps they don't see it as a problem, much like 99.99% of players. Even diehard completionists have the option to create a new character to get the additional skill point, which a true completionist would surely rather do than fail to develop a character from the game's additional starting zone.

Either way, there are certainly more pressing matters.

I think there is too many skill points in this game anyway. There's no tradeoffs for choosing abilities over others, especially passives.

I just started CWC and got a skill point just for arriving. Why!?

is this even a thing at all? becasue having done both intro's on a new character - the morrowind firs,t followed by the benefactor.. I honestly don't remember getting an extra skill point from coldharbour intro. the cinematic is back which is awesome, but extra skill points? no.

P.S. I love having all the skillpoints we get nowadays. allows for some build experimentation without full respec and you are not as starved if you want your character to be a crafter.

the benefactor one, aka vanilla start quest, does give an extra point

And since old characters created before morrowind can't do the morrowind starting quest, all old characters miss a skill point

are you sure about that? because I genuinely don't remember there being an extra skill point. if you skip morrowind tutorial, you get one from benefactor, but you also don't get one from morrowind. I don't have time at the moment to test if you get one if you did NOT skip morrowind tutorial, but to be honest, from what I remember, i only got that extra skill point once. I can test it more thoroughly later, but as far as I remember, its a one time thing, you don't get to double up via both tutorials.

huh... upon further testing... there IS an extra skill point IF you don't skip the tutorial - skipping the tutorial only leaves you with 1 extra skill point, not. which I have been. then again, I cannot say I'm bothered too much, given how many skill points we get nowadays.

    It's just 1 skill point.

I understand why people get frustrated at this but seriously, I have like 40 skill points unused and I'm at max cp with pretty much everything unlocked except the weapon skills I do not use.

Completionism, I have 335 skillpoints and 20 are unused but I need that one skillpoint in order to have a perfect character. It's like console players trying to complete all achievements in a game
