Black Friday Sale - No Actual Sale On Crowns Themselves?

The Black Friday/freda sales are pretty good, and its cool ZOS is giving away a mount to Morrowind owners and the three free crown crates. But, is there or will there be a sale on actual crowns?

Not for Black Friday, nope. If they're smart they will make one for Cyber Monday or around Christmas, but chances are they'll be dumb and not.

ZOS doesnt get a choice to what they can offer or what sales they can run. ZOS is nigh purely development. There is another team and entity within Zenimax parent company that issues the marketing branch aka: crown store.

all these things, ZOS is not but they CONTROL what the ricing and what appears in the crown store.

I mean, you guys look at this like a game but its not. its a business. Games as a Service. You signed a TERMS OF SERVICE, they charge you for that ongoing service.

This is a HUGE corporate entity. Zenimax in fact is the LARGEST privately owned corporation in America and board of directors has one of POTUS Donald Trump's brothers on it.

Get that through your skulls. The crown crates, the crown store, the limited time B.S. - its all a formulated marketing team that pushes sales initiatives and direction to the dev team. The actual ZOS dev team is in the unfortunate position that they have to design these crown store models and effects for the game and they take PRIORITY over actual game development due to deadlines for these crown items.

"Sales drives the bus" - any corporate lacky knows this. Sales gets what they want. They make the money to sign the checks.

Get iwth the damn program. this isnt a game, its an interactive SERVICE that YOU PAY FOR. want hte prices to come down? then the HANDFUL of people that spend $300 on crowns every TWO WEEKS needs to STOP.

To the OP, maybe for Christmas there might be a crown sale? Who knows? I wouldn't hold my breath. If you really want something just get it in the store, if you don't want it that much where you won't pay full price, then maybe it isn't worth buying.

Zos doesnt control the crown sales to my knowledge. I've read here before that Sony does it, on ps4 anyway.

It's not the players fault for thinking that way. Not that long ago, computer games were being made in basements by small groups of people, if not a single person. They were made with passion, by people who wanted to make them just because they felt like it, while being able to get some bonus money on the side.

Video games and people who played them were made fun of regularly, so giant companies avoided them seeing no profit. Now after seeing things like nintedos success, the giant, faceless, corporations have moved in. Don't get me wrong, moneygrubbers always existed in the video game community, just not at the current magnitude.

Now you got things like EA pumping out horrible, broken, money grubbing pieces of garbage on a regular basis. Other companies before them like LJN tried the same in the 80'-90's, and the only reason they got anywhere was a lack of internet to spread bad reviews.

Buuuuuut, also, if people want original style games, they'd play indie. Eso isn't indie.

Zenimax does not even list in the top 225, not sure where you get your information.
