Housing Editor - Place Items Without Preview

How come I can't place or retrieve items without previewing them? I want to just quickly decorate my house without going through the tedious preview screen every time.

Oldbushie✭✭✭What baffles me is that in the regular window, there are hotkey "buttons" that seem to indicate one can just hover over an item and hit a hotkey to get it to do something, but I guess the window never has focus, so hovering doesn't work to enable the hotkeys and they're all greyed out.0

✭✭✭Open housing Editor>Click "Place" from top of window> Scroll through conservatory, dinning, etc, till you find item you want to place> Left click and hit "E". It is ready to place. Hit "R" to put it back in inventory...

If you left click, that brings up the preview window though, which kinda slows down the process. Yes you should. Hmmmm. That's weird...Have you checked your keybinds? Any add-on's that are causing this preview?

This is what I see when I hover over an item in the Place menu without any addons enabled:
You can't see it in the screenshot, but my mouse is a magnifying glass. All my options are greyed out. As soon as I click, it brings up the preview window. If I try hitting E without clicking, it says "You must choose a furnishing to place it."
