https://youtu.be/UKlaLOCYFfAFeeezing, blue screens, indicators not showing up as they are supposed to, bosses and sub-bosses doing certain things out of order, enemy NPC’s not even following their own mechanics, etc. I can’t even casually enjoy VMA’s double drops, by using VMA to test builds anymore.
I guess I’ll just be another wanderer in Wrothgarr, just harvesting nodes and all that jazz for the remainder of the event. Because VMA is all kinds of ****ed up.

✭✭✭✭✭I heard the zone is packed full of people bc of the event. Even farming is not going well for most. It would be nice for some events like these that they would phase players.
So then my question then would become, why doesn’t ZOS ever prepare for these types of things? They know that zones will become extremely populated whenever they launch these types of events. So why not make proper preparations in order to insure that your consumers will have the most enjoyable and smooth experience possible?
I don’t understand it. I just don’t understand. Why is it time after time that these types of things transpire? I’m sure that they have someone who is in charge of said events, and overlooks all things before they go live. So what is this individual doing at meetings? When ZOS staff get together, and these things are brought up. What in the world is this girl/guy doing? Are they intoxicated? Are they sleepy? Are they heavily distracted? What is the source of this person’s incompetence? I don’t understand.
If myself, any of my family, my associates, my acquaintances, etc. did ANYTHING of the sort that ZOS has been doing, they’d be fired with the quickness. And I do mean quick. I’m talking on a New York minute quick. Incompetence is a trait that is never tolerated under any circumstance within the world of professionalism and business. So why does it seem like such work ethics aren’t applied at ZOS? Things are apparently broken on Friday, and seemingly folks don’t go in on Saturday or Sunday to insure that things get working properly by that Monday. It’s crazy. It’s genuinely crazy.7 -

It’s not even the lag with VMA, but actual crappy coding taking place. Bugs and misc. glitching that should’ve been ironed out in quality testing.1 -

Elaborate? I don’t go into VMA looking for weapons, and I don’t do it for leaderboard placements. I do it to learn build betters, as it’s the ONLY solo instance in the entire game that has a decent level of difficulty. I truly could care less about about what weapon drops for me at the end, or my score (if I even bother to finish a stage). And that’s the truth.
It’s currebtly double drops in VMA, which means tons upon tons of elegant lining and grain solvents. Or mastic (if you get a bow or shield to drop). Which all and all for me is incredibly useful. Why? Because my main character is also a Master Crafter. I don’t have anyone make anything for me. I craft it all myself. Each and every single thing. Whether it be: Gear, potions, food, experience drinks, furniture, etc. I make it all. So when opportunities like this arise where I can essentially farm purple quality materials, I naturally will try my hardest to take advantage of it. Rather than spend tons of hours farming nodes, and only getting what I need every here and there in refining due to crap RNG.
Do you understand now? It’s all at this point for casual means. And I can’t even seem to enjoy that. Rather than asking me why I keep bothering with VMA, you should be asking WTF is up with ZOS’ incompetence. You should be asking and wondering why it is that ZOS apparently can’t even have a solo instance as both bug-free and lag-free. That is what you truly should be the topic of discussion. Not why an ESO+ subscriber is choosing to go about doing content that they have been subscribed to, and wants to work smoothly.1 -

✭✭As far as the nodes go, for me (PC/NA) it's worlds better than the Hew's Bane double drop event was. That one I could hardly get a thing, way too many people in a small area. But in Wrothgar I'm finding plenty of resource nodes just on my path as I wander back and forth doing the dailies.4 -

Haven't had any issues on X1X either.
Have actually been able to farm nodes in Wrothgar pretty consistently, and aside from a ~30 minute period last night where I hit some lag, Maelstrom has been pretty smooth. I would guess, from the scores I'm seeing pop up on the leaderboards, that a lot of other people are getting a pretty good Maelstrom experience on XB/NA right now.0 -

The moment I hit a snag in Maelstrom that appears to be server related (enemies doing weird things, unable to interrupt, can't bar swap, heavy attacks not firing, etc.), I port out of that hell hole and go back to node farming. Just not worth the frustration.
Only reason I'm in there is because ~40 minutes for 8 transmutation crystals is a pretty good return, so if it ain't gonna happen in a fairly smooth 40 minute run, I'm out.1 -

agingerinohio✭✭✭VMA is lagging sooooo bad. Enemies "skip" across the screen and before you know it, you're dead because it appears they are now animation canceling. I've boiled it down to just harvesting and finishing up questing in Wrothgar. I don't for see ever beating VMA at this rate.2

Yes, very awkward indeed. On the bright side, a mace now can be duel-wielded for added physical resistance penetration. Thus allowing you to go with 2 maces for the Cruel Flurry set.
I don’t know if it is a bug, or if it is intentional. But, unless you’ve had daggers drop for you pre-CWC? They won’t be dropping for the Cruel Flurry 2pcs. set. And this is on PS4-NA, by the way.0 -

Every since I started doing VMA way back when. Inferno staves and lightning staves have been all that I was focused on getting. Yes, I ended-up getting those and many more things as history has shown. But, they weren’t my true objective. And while I am thankful for those pieces, I’d have been much more content if I could’ve just gotten staves to drop for me only.1 -
