How do i get a static IP?

Hi, i would like to know how to set a static ip. I tried many guides on internet but none of them works for me.
I have many problems with disconnections in game evrey 10 minutes, so i need to set a static ip!
(i have windows 10)

Having a static or dynamic IP depends entirely on your internet service provider. You yourself can't do anything about it except for changing your plan.

If you have disconnect problems, let me tell you, having a static IP isn't the solution. I have one, I get disconnects every 15 minutes.

You don't need a Static IP. Besides, that comes from your ISP for external and from your head for internal, not the game. Also, due to how DHCP is set up, your IP address is almost a static anyway.

Now, what you need a Static for is to set up Port Forwarding on your router. You can do that to an internal static IP that you set up on your PC. But, again, you do not need Port Forwarding. You can do this with Port Triggering, which is what you really want anyway for gaming.

Google the make and model number of your Router, and the term "Port Triggering" and you will see instructions on how to do this.

I am not sure how you determined your issue is due to the difference between a static and dynamic IP address. Almost all of us have dynamic IP addresses and do not experience DCs like you explain.

If you are disconnecting multiple times an hour consistently there are a number of factors that could be in play from your networking card or Ethernet cable (wireless interference if connected via wifi) to something with the network outside of your home.

First thing I would suggest, to make sure the Ethernet connection to your modem/router is healthy. Some modems, at the Ethernet port, will color code the LED light showing the connection. Green is good, ofc, amber and red are bad. If your modem is not this fancy try a new Ethernet cable. Yes, cables go bad.

Second, if you can tether from your phone and have the available data to play the game over it, do that. It will tell you if the issues is something outside of Zos and outside of your PC other than that networking card. This will give you some something solid for working with your provider. If you have access to a TS server, I suggest connecting to that and sit in an empty room. It is the application I find responds the fastest when connection is lost and when it comes back.

If you remain connected via the phone, call your ISP. Go through their tests, it is probably required to get someone to come out. Remember to remind them that you are able to connect and stay connected via your phone so the issue is past your PC and not with the server you are connecting to.

Of course, if you cannot test via the phone then still call your ISP provider, I just find it nice to know for sure.

If you believe you are getting disconnected because of ddos best thing to do is call your internet service provider they will be able to see if you have been probably and maybe hide your ip address if they offer this kind of service if not you will have to do it yourself
