I have a question about the ready check that can be initiated from your Group menu by hitting "P" and then hitting "F" to send out a ready check to each of your group members. If everyone accepts, you get a notification that everyone is ready. If one person declines, you get a notification saying that not everyone is ready (Note: I am not talking about the group finder's ready check).
Has this always been able to be initiated by anyone in the group, or is that a new change? I originally thought that this was only possible for the group leader to do, but now it seems that anyone can start a ready check. When my guild meets, spamming can be a problem if someone decides to be annoying and start meaningless ready checks while the officers try to type out announcements. I believe the ready check actually interrupts what you are trying to type.
Proposed fix: Make the current Group Leader the only person able to start a ready check, or at least make it possible for the group leader to toggle whether they are the only person who can start one, or whether anyone in the group can initiate a ready check. It's a useful feature, but I believe the group leader should have the ability to have complete control over ready checks and any notifications.
Side questions: Are there any examples when having the ability for everyone to start a ready check is useful, like for certain dungeon bosses? Has spamming ready checks ever been a problem for any of you? Would it be useful if the ready check notifications were enhanced to tell us: (1) who started the ready check, (2) how many people said yes and how many said no, or (3) who declined or didn't answer in time?
