Siphoning Attacks is supposed to provide healing when you hit an enemy with a light or heavy attack.
I've been testing it with combat numbers turned on for healing incoming and outgoing and just incoming with no other buffs or passives or other heal abilities active. I've been testing on a troll since they're little threat to me and durable enough for good testing while also allowing heals to show. I am using a lightning staff, hoping it heals on each tic.
My tooltip says "causing your light and heavy attacks to heal you for 1568 health".
Here is where it gets weird.
The troll gets me down to 30% health as my threshold to start attacking. I've been using Siphoning Attacks the entire fight just passively keeping it active without any healing incoming. When I start attacking, I usually see a heal on the first strike and apparently the last hit sometimes, not always. This inconsistency prompted me to try just hitting one light attack and seeing if it would heal every time, which it did, but I also noticed that when the troll struck me it also healed with the green number inside parentheses, like (2420), with the number not matching the tooltip. It seemed to behave like a "every time you hit an enemy with a light or heavy attack, for 5 seconds, you heal each time you are struck by that enemy" instead of a "heal on attack".
I'm not sure how Siphoning Attacks behaved before it was changed to the current behavior, even though I know it was different, but it definitely seems severely bugged right now. It doesn't behave like the tooltip says.
Can anyone else confirm this? Does anyone know the old info for Siphoning Attacks?
