The game's bank sorting system is so flipping bad.

Who designed this game's inventory sorting system? When you're trying to figure out how to gear your character(s) based on the items you have collected thus far, instead of the bank grouping all items belonging to a set together in one place for you to easily see them, you have to bounce all over your vault trying to track down how many items of a particular set you've collected and which ones they are, then you have to do the same thing for the second set and then cross-reference and eliminate duplicate gear pieces. This is all because the game throws each piece of gear off by itself in stupid categories instead of grouping it up. You basically have to make a document/notes page to write down/type everything so you can get a better view of the quickest path to completion.

Can we at least get the OPTION to change the sorting system to group gear sets together, please? It will save us players DECADES of time collectively in the banker's menu.

Yeah the standard bank sorting is bad. That's why I'm very glad for add-ons.

Same goes for guild traders.

Bank and guild trader systems are ungodly bad. PC basically relies on addons to make up for the sh!t system the developers have. I lock things now that I want grouped together since they are now sorted somewhat.

yeah all sorting in this game seems to have been done pre compute era- rollodeck style- that bank, guild, mail, everyting. trust zos to leave it to the community to sort out their mess for them for free. Add-ons are a savior- but still- being able to quickly see thru a grpahic which pieces I have of a set- which im missing would save alot of time- and just make invnetory managment enjoyable- cos now its a clusterf$%k or as i call it Inventory Tetris. tm,.

The bank sorts things alphabetically. Gear sets don't have consistency when it comes to naming. So you have some gear sets that are "Gloves of the XX", "Sabatons of the XX" and other gear sets that are "XX's gloves" and "XX's Sabatons". And then you have unique items like weapons and jewelry that are named after the boss they drop from, so good luck trying to sort those.

For sorting gear sets together, I'd prefer having the "XX's Gloves" format, because then you can sort the pieces easily. For my sorcs, its much easier to tell how many Burning Spellweave stuffs I have compare to Netch's Touch, becuase that's all "Burning Spellweave (Gear Piece) compared to the (Gear piece) of Netch's Touch where I have to look at each gear piece alphabetically to see if I have it in Netch's Touch. Unique pieces like the Lost Imperial Band or Grobull's Charged Staff are just hard to find, period, since you have to look for which set they are a part of. I've definitely used the method of writing down what pieces I had on a separate sheet of paper.

Overall, this isn't a big deal for me since I can certainly adapt to deal with the inconvenience. But it is an inconvenience, and one that ZOS might want to consider as they introduce new sets into the game.

We all know Zenimax already has multiple in-game ways to "flag" items and other things, so it wouldn't be that hard to design one flag per set and have the bank sort alphabetically by flag instead of gear category. This is not a valid excuse for designing such a dated and obsolete system.

It took 2 years on PS4, but ZOS finally added an icon for items you can research so you don't have to keep bouncing from the Research screen to the Deconstruct screen to see which one stays and which one goes.

I wasn't excusing them, merely explaining how the current system works, and then going on to explain how I'd prefer that they fix it. ZOS has chosen an alphabetical system, so I wish they'd at least apply it with some consistency. However, your suggestion of them grouping like gear sets together would do a better job of accounting for unique named drops.

I find I cannot search the views when I want to put something in my bank . Also I cannot regroup things by set.Which addons could suit my need ?
