Yes it can crit (But certain item sets that causes bleed-damage can´t crit)Does it Crit? Do those Crits proc other mechanics like crit surge.
Bleed-damage ignores all kinds of resistance (not 100% sure about critical resistance), that´s the beauty of itWhat is bleed's relationship to player/monster resistances (how does it calculate vs. them?
Damage shields will mitigate the bleed-dotWhat are bleeds interactions with damage shields?
All bleed-damage are considered physical damage over time effects so I would say: Thamaturge, weapon-damage, mighty and max staminaHow does bleed scale? Is WPN dmg or max resources more important in scaling up its dmg?
YesAre all bleed effects purge-able?
On DW builds are 2 x Axes ideal or is there a mechanic at play like in previous patches where dagger/axe results in the optimal dps + bleed? What would y'all choose & why?

This one is tricky but I´ll try to explain it as proper as I can: Never go with 2 axes if dualwielding. The game doesn´t consider each bleed from each axe as seperate bleeds, and will therefor override eachother (in worst case the can sort of "negate" eachother causing you to get 0 bleed damage). Example:
* You light attack with axe #1 and apply bleed #1
* After 2 seconds bleed #1 will do it´s bleed-tick (there´s no "0-tick" when the bleed is applied as far as I know)
* Let´s say that you do another light-attack with axe #2 at the 2 second mark and apply bleed #2, instead of applying a new bleed, the bleed damage is refreshed and you get a new "0-tick". Conclusion: Never use 2 axes.
If I´ve got something wrong please feel free to correct me.

so Greataxe has a better chance to proc a bleed? Interesting

Does the charged trait increase the application of the axe bleed passive? Does it help with bleed at all?
