Depends.

If you get infrequently hit by magical projectiles, defensive stance is a lot better. If you get hit with all sorts of projectiles often, then Dragonfire Scales is better.

Also depends on if you run the asylum 1HS. Running that plus a way to regenerate stamina like bloodthorn is a viable option for sustain. Run asylum on your back bar with a damage set on your front bar. Valkyn or bloodspawn as a monster set.

honestly its a waste of a slot better if with some other type of utility spell
defensive stance would help purma blocking but that's it
