Hello,
first of all, this is my first post in the forums and my game is not set to English. This could be important to know in case what I try to point out is a translation issue of the staff's buff description.
That being said, the Asylum's Restoration staff's tooltip states in my language (German) that
each cast of blessing of protection reduces the cost of healing abilities based on magicka or stamina within the next 3 seconds by 27 percent. All my tests base on this normal model, not the perfected staff. The staff was upgraded to legendary (yellow) in case that is of any relevance.
Based on that, I tested different magicka healing abilities with blessing of protection's morph combat prayer. The results were inconsistent. While healing springs, breath of life and apparently all magicka-based Warden healing skills are indeed reduced in cost as one would expect it to be, some healing abilities do not benefit although they should. The cost reduction does
not apply to following skills:
- Cleansing ritual + morphs
- Summon Twilight Matriarch (although the skill is even marked as a healing skill by the game)
- Purge, even if morphed to Cleanse (which applies a heal on top of the cleanse)
I have not tested healing skills of Dragon Knights or Nightblades yet, mainly due to a lack of skill points. I will have a look on them later. However, I think these three skills should benefit of the cost reduction. Ritual is a HoT after all, Twilight Matriarch the BoL equivalent for sorc healers and cleanse would become a way more attractive option if you could combine it with the Asylum's resto cost reduction. It clearly is a heal after all.
Is this a bug that will get fixed in an upcoming hotfix/patch?
