Game Over

I do not enjoy this game anymore. I've tried and I've tried to enjoy it, or even pretend, but all I see myself doing is the same old stuff every single day, and the game now just feels like a race that you can't finish because the finish line keeps moving away from me, and that metaphor speaks for many issue and constant changes to do with the game that have made me stop running and think ''why do I even bother anymore?'. I know the game or ZOS won't be moved whatsoever by me deciding to quit eso, and I'm merely a ripple in the puddle amongst the thousands of other raindrops. I suppose part of me hopes that ZOS would feel a bit hurt, losing a person who has played since the day 1 release on XB1, but even I am laughing while I write that because it is by far such a long shot, but it's fine. I felt that I should at least write some kind of goodbye and say thanks for the years, fun times and memories I've had on this game, but it is now time to close the door for me. Hope you all continue to enjoy this game. And NO you can't have my stuff lol.

Peace peace guys.

I feel that we'll have a new 'returning player' thread coming soon :).

Well it just a game, stop playing this and start another. End of story.

If only goodbyes were actual goodbyes instead of:

What is it about MMORPG players that feel they have to announce that they are leaving the game? When I get done with Shadow of War, I'm not going to go announce on the forums that I've completed it or done with it. If you're quitting a game, then just quit.

I feel the same way about this game where you keep doing the same thing over and over but I'm not going to quit still going to play the game it's just makes me feel like sometimes the stuff that are in forms Zenimax do not care to listen to their fanbase community but by reading the forms by some of you guys have very nice ideas to bring to the table of eso I understand that development takes a while maybe longer it would be nice to hear from them about these thoughts and ideas.

There is a bit of psychology going on whenever someone makes a post telling people they are quitting something. On a certain level, we need confirmation that are our statements and opinions have merit. Basically it's social validation.

I used to be subbed played every day with two guilds. We did PVP, dungeons it was great. This lasted for a few years, then ZOS changed the game. It was first monetization greed, then the CP system.

Both guilds left the game, I now play 1-2 times a week. ESO still has elements I enjoy. Yesterday I was on my stam DK running around near brk farm and I came across a magi sorc, we had a dam good 1v1 open field unexpected. LOS, ani canceling etc. I lost but I almost had him. It was a blast.

Those moments are less and less for me, but I would say leaving ESO isnt an option right now as to be blunt there really isnt a better PVP game out there right now. Gw2 was good for a long time, it got me here but until camelot unchained or crowfall drop and I can test them I' ll linger. Albeit with extremely diminished interest and no more money invested.

Take a break, play less, give zos nothing. You got your money's worth and they facilitated it.

    Hello everyone,

This post is to let you know that we've gone ahead and closed this thread. The reason being that goodbye threads are against the Forum Rules. Much luck to you in your journey through other worlds.

    Thank you for understanding.
