Why you should never buy IC

Except that you can only have one home and one guest campaign. Changing your home campaign costs a ton of either alliance points or gold, while you can't change your guest campaign if you've entered it in the last four days. So if both are full and you've recently entered your guest campaign, you're SOL.

I'm pretty sure you can still group with another person and have them queue you into another campaign.

It's not a reason not to buy one of the better DLCs with the most replayability.

Plus this is a regional thing..other platforms and regions don't have these queues..

Thanks for the tip, but it is a worthless tip all the same for 2 reasons.

#1 - The other campaign had a bigger queue;

#2 - Sotha is the ONLY NO CP campaign, i only play NO CP and always have.

Since ZOS incompetently closed down the other NO CP campaign and negatively impacted any customers experience getting/staying in, this is the only one i CAN queue for.


Was poor form for ZOS to do this. If i had of known i would be forced to wait hour(s) to play a DLC purchased i would not have done so. @ZOS_GinaBruno

You could always adapt, play with CP, and forego the long queue times your platform has.

It's not as if you're at an unfair disadvantage.

This is an excellent point in favor of detaching Imperial City from the Cyrodiil campaigns in that IC players are vulnerable to campaign population spikes and that No CP players now only have one choice of IC instance so they can't escape the queue the way CP players can "just queue for Shor" on PC/NA.

Let me repeat for those who didn't catch it the first time:


Sotha is the only NO CP Campaign to choose from, for lower CP players and for those like me who would like to choose this mode, that ZOS has provided the option for.

Forcing players to go into a CP enabled campaign that they dont want to, is not the solution.


But like i said above, i had additionally queued for Vivec, as i wanted to play IC and would even take this as a poor second choice:



I had been waiting on both campaigns and Sotha was the soonest.


Again, i was forced to queue for 1+ hour to play a DLC i purchased. Had i known, though no fault of my own, i would be forced to endure these ridiculous waiting times i would not of got IC. @ZOS_GinaBruno

He's wanting to play in No CP, so that quieter campaign is Almalexia...oh wait, ZOS deleted that one. Oops. So, that's part of the problem. There is no quieter campaign option for No CP players in Imperial City.

I still agree with the premise that it is rather annoying when you have to wait that long to get into pvp, particularly if that is your primary gameplay preference. Whether you want IC or not that is an annoying prospect.

IC will need TWO instances, though... one for CP and one for No-CP.

But yeah, it needs to happen!

I honestly can say that nothing about IC interests me. Nothing. From the forced PvP to farm Tel Var Stones, to the encouragement of ganking. Nope. Not my cup of tea. Never will be. When ZOS allowed us to get CP150 to CP160 mats outside of IC, I was overcome with joy. Yes. IC is that bad from a PvE’ers perspective.

No CP has a queue?? Even less justification to make BG have CP enabled then!!

100% agree but I don’t want to see IC go down the road of any non PvP instances. I think PvP should still be on in IC and I even think a PK instances would be hilarious!

o/ I mainly PVE but I love PvP in IC! It’s so fun and also funny!

I had a few more scamps to hit for my achievement and wanted to work on that aspect. I ended up queuing for both, just over 1 hr to get in, played for 30 mins as ~90 mins was my game window and left. 2/3rds of my game time wasted in a queue.

PC EU - I agree, with ZOS changing the mode of BG, i feel slightly ripped off buying MW as now BG is ONLY CP with no choice of NO CP i dont play them anymore, just get tanks with guard lasting forever.

I can see preferring no CP in Cyrodiil proper, but in the IC, that just sounds awful.
