Stamina bug during intense combat

Character is a Templar Breton Magicka build, PC NA. Frequently, in the middle of intense combat (dungeons, trials, or dolmens) I experience an issue where all spells and staffs stop working and my stamina will not recharge. When this happens I'm forced to run around aimlessly until all my stamina is used up. At that point my stamina will begin to recharge and everything goes back to normal. It's very weird because even normal movement will use up stamina with no recharge. Nothing works until I use up all stamina.

Honestly, for a long time I thought I might have been hit by a spell or stepped in the wrong place. But it sure seems like a bug. I'll be firing away when suddenly nothing works and I'll look and see my stamina slowly going down as I move around. Very irritating as it happens quite frequently, sometimes twice in a single dungeon run.

    Just curious if you filed a bug report?

    Also, sometimes these bugs are related to a specific gear set, especially if the gear set's values or other buffs have been changed recently with a DLC release. A few such cases some to mind.

    Thanks. Just filed a bug report in game. It's not really reproducible as it appears to happen randomly during intense PVE fights (typically dungeons).

    Gear used is 5 Gold Julianos (3 light, 1 heavy, 1 med) and 2 Purple War Maiden's (both light). Jewelry is all War Maiden's purple. Staffs are both Gold Julianos.

    Barswitch work, anything else not.

    Try shift-alt or alt tab out the game, /reloadui sometimes it helps too.

    The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

    Really hope this bug gets further acknowledgement and addressed. Happened 3 times within an hour while fighting mobs in the Spellscar region of Craglorn. Haplessly running around with neutered weaponry until you die also fixes the problem. :neutral:

    It sounds like your sprint got stuck on. Next time it happens, slap that button again and see if it somehow toggled.

    It behaves as though sprint is stuck on...only I'm not sprinting. When bugged, even moving around normally (not sprinting) uses up stamina and I can't do a thing until it's used up. If fighting in a group, I can usually get away with running around in circles until it resets. If I'm soloing a mob, forget it.

    Is this bug known by now or not?

    I get it like 2 times per night in pvp. Could easily get a video if needed.

    This is the sprint bug; check my post history for a video example and detailed explanation. They've been aware of it for quite some time now, and despite it being one of the most broken and debilitating bugs in the game, they still haven't fixed it or even given an ETA for a fix. They've simply stated that "they're working on it, and it's a hard bug to pin down".

    Prepare to deal with a further 6 months of it.
