I would imagine if people doing this proliferates too much ZOS would step in with some nasty suspensions.
Hopefully it gets fixed soon before too many trolls screw around with it. On the plus side, at least it's very easy to know who did it in order to report repeat offenders.

Here is one thing I don't like ESO player base...well at least forum player base.
To me this is just something if ESO ever make it to 10 year game, old players can have a laugh about. Everything will return to normal as soon as ZOS release a patch about it.
Unlike WOW, eso NPC can't be killed with this and players aren't concentrate in one place, and you don't lose much even if you are killed. so what's so serious about?
“You are gonna get banned for this!!”
“it will be easy to report these ppl”
Some ppl here play ESO like they are trying to win a golden medal

well yes, you can look at it in this way. but in the other way, it is a bug-exploit which if too many trolls would do it, it would pretty much freak people out.
so I would also "vote" for ban for using it, as for all other exploits
So you would enjoy the game if every time you tried to use the bank in a town you couldn't finish your interactions because you were dead again?AzraelKrieg wrote: »It's a bug, don't exploit it. True it's not “working as intended”, but it's not like unlimited gold/ mat etc, it's a bad joke to say the most.
And I don't know, if player base and game company are so determined to ban ppl over a bad joke, I just don't feel like this community is a welcoming place

This is what the proliferation of it would lead to, and the level it could reach if OP wants their WoW plague story.Anybody experiencing this?

Or new players not understanding why they're suddenly getting killed outside of PvP then leaving the game because of the misconception this is now a PvP game or that there are "cheaters" who can kill you any time.
Just because a bug doesn't give you gains doesn't stop it being an exploit. Being able to kill players in an area which is not intended is an exploit. People have been banned for doing it in Cyrodiil when bypassing gates, I don't think ZOS would look much differently on it with how this works.
If this happens once of twice in isolation then it wouldn't really warrant a ban or suspension (personal opinion), but if a player is actively abusing this over and over then they're in fact abusing a bug (exploiting) and harassing other players, both of which are against the ToS.
As for this becoming a story which we all remember in ten years? I doubt it. I think things have to happen more organically and be more widespread than this.
There are probably already stories or funny bugs we all remember that ten years from now we can look back at an laugh about.
You can create stories which last years within a community without abusing game bugs which harm other players enjoyment of the game.So you would enjoy the game if every time you tried to use the bank in a town you couldn't finish your interactions because you were dead again?AzraelKrieg wrote: »It's a bug, don't exploit it. Bypassing gate and kill ppl to gain AP in pvp is not personal gain? I doubt it.
If new players quit because getting killed by a bug without trying to find out what happened, maybe it's their problem.
How many bankers are out there? if someone is trolling there, find another place.
And your logic is funny... so to have a “story” it needs to be more “widespread”, and you said if ppl use it once or twice then it's not suppise get a ban.
So stories must be generate by ppl end up all getting banned?

Somebody had to make this nonesense comment, right?
So there's going to be an ESO version of the "corrupted blood incident"? Does it have something to do with the trolls in Sanctum Ophidia (one of their attacks causes contagious healthdrain effect)?
