I have 4 VELOTHI VIEW VINTAGE MALBEC recipes and no one has any for sale and no guild traders have them. I guess i should just destory them. Tried to sell all 4 for 1k no one bought them.

Just saw one for 50 k in Reapers march on ps4 na monday

I had 2 master writs for this drink for the longest time and could not find a recipe ANYWHERE in traders. Would've paid upwards of 40-50k had i been able to find one just to complete my writs. Yes i am aware the cost would outweigh the reward but i have to complete my writs. I got lucky and found one a few weeks later in trunk while doing a thieves guild daily heist.

When I've looked for it at traders, i couldn't find it either. Must be extremely rare or no dropping due to some hiccup. I just trash that writ when I get it.

If you were trying to sell in zone chat, then you may just not have caught anyone that wanted/needed it. If you're in a trading guild, I'd definitely post them for sale. Not sure what the going price is on PC, but I did sell another CP150 purple drink recipe (I think it may even have been this one) for 80K. It didn't sell until after about 3 weeks, but it sold. Now, I'd probably still list one for around 50K.

That's pricey for completing just one writ, but then you have it and can complete any future writs, though, of course, you'd have to complete a LOT of writs to make up that price. But, some may also want to have it for completion's sake.

This recipe is around 20k in guild stores. It is rare though - I saw probably 4-5 of them across all major locations. So 50k will probably overkill (PC NA here), but if you put it at 15k - you will sell it in a day I would guess.

My provisioning crafter has it - I can't remember exactly where I got it (loot or writ) but I didn't buy it.

I've seen them in traders quite frequently recently (Xbox NA), ranging in price from 55-85k.

That being said, I probably bought my first one (can't remember) but I did steal one from an owned cupboard/nightstand after breaking into one of the houses in Anvil.

It is the rarest c150 recipe drop. I did the math and estimated it as about a 1/5000 drop. They were available before master writs, but that system gets them snatched up.

Also...it doesn’t make sense to but the recipe to do master writs, guys. On PS4 I sell Malbec for 90,000 gold. You could just sell your Malbec writ then buy one you can make and it’ll only cost you like $500.

Sounds like you were just unlucky as it seems relatively common on PC-NA with +200 listed in the past year for an average price of under 20k as we've tracked them (see http://esosales.uesp.net/viewSales.php?viewsales=1832 for more details):

Would be nice if we had some sort of sale tracking system like that on console. ESO Price check uses listed prices, not sale prices, which is basically worthless.

Either way, it would seem Xbox prices are higher across the board. I haven't seen a vintage malbec recipe for less than 55k in any trader in over four months. I'm constantly searching for my last few recipes, so I hit the traders several times a week and this is one that always jumps out at me because of its relative rarity.

it goes for 60-80k in traders. ive sold it dozens of times.

actually have multiple crafters set up just to get these types of recipes
