yesterday it was totally wrong: in 3 hours i've been perhaps 16 times disconnected. Now fun anymore. It seems to happen more offen despite being out of line for maintenance. And no, my internet connection is fine. What is going on and. more important, is it going to be fixed?

What's going on: ZoS focuses on capturing your $, but are unwilling to solve stability issues that cost them $.

Will this be fixed? Not likely, it continues to worsen as time elapses.

unless your just trying to blow off steam I'd suggest some more information.

    Platform.
What is happening when you get disconnected

Some info that may be helpful.

If your actually getting disconnected it's most likely something is chasing issues with your data between your PC to Zos's servers. Most of that is out of the hands of Zos. It can be anything from the networking card in your PC and beyond

My recent experience is bad connection to the box outside, modem had failed and at a more central hub I was on the wrong card for high bandwidth. So not Zos's fault.

If you actually mean your client is crashing that's something altogether different and odds are it's something on your machine. Especially if you play on PC. major changes to the API have some add-one crashing the client. Not Zos's responsibility. Open up a. Tech support ticket, turn off all addons and repair the client. See if that solves the issues then turn addons on one at a time to find the culprit.

Hope this helps. At least it's better than a salty answer some post in thread like these.

I play fine on a daily basis. Some days for an hour (usually weekdays) but for several hours on the weekends without any disconnections so I don't think this as an issue from ZOS' end (and not necessarily on your end either) but somewhere in between you and ZOS' servers is where the disconnect is happening.

As @idk said above, maybe try posting some additional information and hopefully someone can help you out.

Every new dlc zone brought the lag and load issues. Though I don’t remember them ever being this bad. Can’t remember if it was TG or DB but after one of those, you couldn’t turn in your writs in orsinium without hitting a load screen when crossing the bridge. Gap closing in cyrodiil was a 50/50 chance for a load screen. Looking at a certain wall in vmaw was a guaranteed DC. It’s been so long since we had a new dlc zone that people have either forgotten or weren’t playing yet. But this is actually normal.

Still unacceptable mind you. But normal none the less.

My game crashes multiple times per day on Xbox. The problem mostly happens in DLC zones in Cyrodiil but it happens plenty in base-game zones as well. Add that to the new infinite load screen feature that they introduced with the console CWC update and the game is nearly un-playable on Xbox. Anyone that says they don't have issues with crashing either don't play on Xbox or are lying through their teeth. Every single one of my friends who play the game have these crashing issues in DLC zones. Every person in my PvP guild who i have broached the subject with (which is A LOT of players) crashes on average every 60-90 minutes in Cyrodiil.

are you 100 % sure it is not your internet or your wifi-router or your computer?

As I have been here since beta and I can count random disconnects or game crashes maybe even on one hand.

Same here when I do have problems connecting it's because there is an issue with my internet company. Even though my computer shows I'm connected I still have connection issues but that is with everything due to the internet provider. even spending hours in pvp maybe every once and while I'll get an extra long load screen
When asked what he would do for a Klondike bar. Grand Moff Tarkin said "why I would blow up Alderaan."

It's getting worse. Have crashed 3 times in the last 45 minutes trying to start the Clockwork City quest. Can't even experience the new DLC I am paying for with my subscription. All of this on a brand new console that has not a single thing on the internal hard drive other than ESO.

    @IDK / altemriel:
i'm playing on windows pc, loggged in 15 min ago and have been disconnected twice: "an error has occurred, please wait a few minutes and log in again". Sometimes during the game i can move but nothing else. Then later the game shuts down.
My Internet connection is fine. The problem exist even if i'm not using any add ons. I'm not playing in PVP.
BUT: last month, at a time i had this problem i asked around at the guilds and it seems that someone in the neighborhood had the same day the same problem (same provider). Seems strange too me cause Internet is working fine but if you explane that it can be something between here and ZOS ..............
If its something with my computer, would it not always be present?

Your internet cam seem to be working fine. One can do a speed test and fine speeds within the acceptable margins for the package they have. However, there are many factors in play.

On possibility when it's you and your neighbors having issues at the same time is bottlenecks locally during my prime time if your service is through a cable company. Have had that issue and during peak time I just can DC constantly but have great connection during off times.

As I said, a line can seem fine but you keep getting disconnected. One problem may not be enough but something else goes wrong and it gets compounded.

See, there are two different connections for your internet connection. One connection is essentially the structure for your connection. If it's unhealthy, getting a lot of errors one can experience drops frequently and they can often be for extreemly short durations. Any drop in connection to Zos servers seemingly is not recoverable, you get booted and have to log back on.

You, we, the consumers cannot really test much if this stuff. Contact your provider and hope they can figure it out. They do not always do so at first and may require some significant time on the phone dealing with different people. Oh. He very nice to them since they do note in your account your behavior.

One VERY solid test, if you can, is using a different service. A smart phone as a modem is the easiest if you have the data for it. If your getting disconnected multiple times a night and especially in an hour that it's not a lengthy test. Of course it does require a good signal.

If you don't have an issue with your cell phone modem then you can speak with confidence that the issue is with local equipment from your Ethernet cable to your providers system.

I could keep writing for awhile so I will leave it at this. Good luck.

My issue was a bad connection outside, a bad modem and being on the wrong card at their switching lanes around. It didn't happen over night and as different parts got worse it went from occasional DC to multiple occasions an hour.

Edit. If on Wifi you could also be getting interference from other sources using the same or near same frequency. Especially if in an apartment.

I’m on xb NA I been getting dashboard/crashed every few hours most of the time it’s coming from porting to a new zone then running off right away before all the npc and players render.

This has started to happen since yesterday with the cwc update. Before this would only happen in very large scale pvp fights and some trials. Now it’s happening in any town I port to even my house.

I've spent countless hours on the phone with my ISP because of the issues I have with this game. Have had technicians digging in my yard and ceilings and have replaced all my equipment. That didn't solve my main problem which is crashes from the game directly to the Xbox dashboard. Nothing my ISP did could fix the issue because when an Xbox game makes the jittery noise and dumps you to the dashboard and completely out of the game itself (NOT to the title screen) then this means there is a code error with the game.

Since the CWC patch yesterday, console players are getting stuck in infinite load screens in addition to our already frequent crashes. This is not an issue with anyone's ISP when the problem starts right after an update.

    @Apache_Kid

OP is on PC and it would seem unrelated tithe CwC patch since he has had this issue before PC received the update. Most of the DC issues PC has had since CWC were client crashes and were related to add-n conflicts which are not Zos's responsibility. .

Console has its issues but it's not really applicable since we often have different issues when talks my about DCs and crashes. You also seem to be experiencing a client crash vs a disconnect which would be from different causes, at least on PC.

And they shouldn't have needed to dig up your yard. They can test point to point to fine issue between segments. Same with tearing up the same. Unless they're equipment is finding an error in those areas it they don't has to do that. But that's beside the point.

They had to replace some sort of wiring in my yard up against the side of my house not sure what it did and they put equipment in the ceiling when they installed everything which is why they had to go back in there. I realize OP was on PC but just saw your post and wanted to share my story as well is all.

Some great advice here. Also, be sure to use a wired internet connection rather than a wireless one which can prove very intermittent and unreliable for gaming especially if there are other users sharing the connection.
