This was stated in early 2016:
"Yes, we are planning on a DX12 upgrade and expect that this will give us a number of graphics performance improvements. We cannot provide an ETA at this time, but it is something we’re working towards."
by ESO developers, yet we are in late 2017 and still got no news about it. I am gonna get a new CPU and if ESO will upgrade to DirectX 12, im going with a Ryzen build. This might sound personal, but this game is very poorly optimised in terms of multi core performance. I can see DirectX 12 immensely helping with that, as its API will able to support multi core further. Not to tell the fact that i'm being forced to buy an old i7 7700K which isn't even prepared for the future. Obviously, they have stated that can't give an ETA, but its almost been 2 years inbetween with not a single piece of information.
Including the fact that Bethesda has partnered with AMD and are able to utilise all the cores and show the real performance of a ryzen build, I can't see why an ex-Bethesda company can't do the same. Afterall, you have the same owner. I'd like to ask you guys
@ZOS_GinaBruno or whoever is working on this, a piece of information of what I should go to and when you guys will release DirectX 12 support or at least a hint on something useful. Your customers are waiting for this. I don't want to risk my money on a build because of this game, but they way it's heading seems like I will have to.
P.S Thanks for that extra pet!
