Shouldn't the cost of the appearance changer last for 30 days, even most other games have the cost to just change appearance alot lower than Eso atm.

The appearance change system works against the user by design. I want to believe that ZOS doesn't intentionally obfuscate their systems to push Crown elements but you'll forgive me if I have my speculations on that front based on their marketing tactics (just look at the in-game furnishing drop rate versus the accessibility of crown furnishings for example).

Looking at appearance change tokens from the price, to the disparity between style parlor rendering and actual in game appearance, to the limitations in how you can view your character (no personality/no vamp preview/etc..). You start to wonder why so many archaic limitations are still in place. Well it's all for one singular purpose - to get you to buy more appearance change tokens due to "mistakes" you can't possibly anticipate until you actually see your changes/character in game and at that point its too late. Pony up and buy another token and hope that this time what you see is closer to what you get...

(Yes I'm aware PC users can circumvent most of this with PTS access but the points still stand)

Yeah it just costs way to much just to change your appearance only one time and on only one character, I guess what they should've done was made the token one use per character you have at the time instead atleast.

An appearance salon in game with the option to pay with crowns or a high amount of gold and the cost dependent on what you change, with better tools for seeing how the changes affect your character (like different lightning, personalities, 'apply vampire/remove vampire appearance', etc.

The appearance change mechanic is the ONE THING that SWTOR does better in my opinion.

The amount of money it costs to simply alter how your character looks is quite frankly disgusting and insulting. Been wanting to change some things on my main character for a long time but I refuse to buy that token for its current price.

What major MMO rents appearance change? That's what OP is suggesting.

Last time I checked the cost of appearance change was a mere 1k crowns with on sale is something near $5 USD. Ok, maybe $6 USD.

I'm pretty sure it was way more than 1k crowns last time I looked. Also it's not as if crown sales happen often.

Even 6$ is way to much for an appearance change most games let you do it for a cost of like 25 cents, or on the other hand even BDO a Korean originated game I might add, adds the ability to appearance change for the cost of nothing on every character you have on that account for how many days you have a premium account for, also you can buy the premium account status straight from in game as well.

I would rather put my college funds into the face changer of Riften than in Zos's pockets.
