Shimmery visual effect bug on the ground

With the 3.2.8 patch, I'm experiencing an animated, shimmery pattern on the ground in Glenumbra. I visited another zone and the effect wasn't visible, though it remained when I returned to Glenumbra (and after quitting and restarting the game). It happened to be raining in the zone as well. A screenshot is attached.

I'm playing on a 2015 15" MacBook Pro.

Seems like a lot of MAC users have the same problem.

Thank god I'm not the only one, was worrying it was a gpu problem. From what I can tell it relates to "sun" light, as it only appears outdoors and it also appears on the front of keeps in the shape of the openings up top in Cyrodiil. Its making me freakin sick lol. Not all mac users experiencing issue however as a few friends seem not to be. My details. 2017 MacBook Pro, Radeon 560, OS X10.12.6

I have tried repairing game files, restarting eso and my computer, changing graphics settings, turning off all extra settings such as bloom etc. No luck. As you can see in the following picture it appears in the shape of the opening above the keep, this pattern also appears across the ground outside in a moving pattern that looks something like a bad water effect. @ZOS_GinaBruno please look into this its nauseating.

I just had the same issue on my iMac Nvidia GeForce 750M (OS X 10.12.6) and MacBook Retina Nvidia GeForce 650M (OS X 10.13.1), but doing a repair through the launcher seems to have fixed it.

The problem was resolved for me by deleting the ShaderCache.cooked file.

    For the developers:
    • iMac (27-inch, late 2012)
    • 3.4GHz i7
    • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048MB
    • macOS Sierra 10.12.6

Using repair through the launcher made the problem worse.

I was just about to report the same issue -- although I seem to only see it in the rain. Even then, if I quit the game and reload, oftentimes that will solve the problem. It is a pain, though, to have to do that.

So yeah -- when it's raining, weird disco lights on the ground.

I have the same thing MAC/NA late 2013 MacBook Pro Retina with MacOS Sierra 10.12.6. It gives me a migraine so for the most part I can't play whenever the rain cycle comes through :/:/

The ShaderCache.cooked file is in Users/yourName/Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live

However, deleting it only worked for a day or so and then the problem returned. Deleting it again no longer fixes it.
The best solution is to install the Votan's Advanced Settings mod and use it to turn off rain wetness.

Yeah I figured that out, keep deleting it before each time I play. Will try the Votans thing, thanks.

Edit: so cool the Votans thing seems to be a good workaround for the short term, but @ZOS_GinaBruno can we please get this patched on Monday?

Although it's a pain in the neck, I find that quitting / relaunching the game sometimes cures the issue -- for that session.
