So seeing as the grind is now over for trait farming and we can just waltz through stupidly easy dungeons and spam heals at siege to earn them...
How about a Gold Mat Merchant now? Gear is now worthless, no longer can we flog the best traited weapons for huge money and divines, Impen, Sturdy or whatever, it doesn't matter now. It's the cheapest sale wins.
Reasoning behind it, I cannot sell a Sharp Staff for hundreds of K anymore, so thus cannot spunk stupid amounts of gold on Materials to upgrade it.
Anyone else feel with this change we should now have these materials added to like a Tel Var Merchant... Or perhaps even the Golden vendor (seems fitting) maybe even rotate it to Temps one week and Rosin/ Roe or whatever the next keeping the PVP lot happy in the process?

This is the problem, playing horse simulator hacking at bits of wood and rock is so boring. It's like being annoyed by the Prophet or any other annoying NPC asking me to do some chore they are too cowardly to do, I can only reply "sorry bruh having to hack at bits of wood to upgrade my staff first, gimme a couple of days and I'll be back"
I'd just much rather be killing stuff, ganking people or siegeing to get good stuff rather than running around all friggin day. I'm on the verge of endorsing Botting as it's so boring.

But ok, if we are talking about a price of 20k for each gold temper it would not bother me. Guild Traders will still rule the market.Sometimes the prey turns and nips us... it's a small thing.
So let the snow flakes and unicorns dance alone until they melt or vanish from existence, we will finish up with those smart enough to stay in the glowing circle of love.

Some players don't log in every day though or have the time when they do. Jobs, families, all that.
I've always wanted this, I'd even buy them with Crowns tbh. Plenty other games I play don't take longer than a week to completely gold out a character.PC EU1 -

✭✭✭You can already buy them. People sell them in zone, NPC's sell them for people at guild vendors. Problem solved. You can also buy after selling items bought with TV and AP...
I mean really do you think an NPC would offer them cheaper than the going rate even if added? That's fairly naive. Look at writ recipe costs from vendors. Look at end game potency runes from vendors.

If players are making less gold then the price of gold mats will come down due to less people being able to afford and buy.
Also consider this, if a player has a sharpened gold 2h sword that he/she wants to change to another trait, rather than making/farming and upgrading a new one that player can just change the trait which means that player won't be buying 8 more tempers. I would much rather use 50 crystals rather than spend ~60k gold to upgrade a new weapon. So trait change will likely suppress demand on tempers as well.
Now there may be some other economic conditions that come in to play that could swing the price up again (a major gear "rebalance" on a commonly used set, a gear level increase, etc), but I would expect tempers to keep getting cheaper until that happens.Playing since beta...0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Khajiit is confused: As you can not farm very rare sharpened weapons and sell for idiotic amounts of gold, but have to settle for 50K or something you want to buy gold mats from an merchant.
Noting that most stuff sold from npc merchants are more expensive than buying from players I would assume price for gold tempers would be 10K or something
Think the best source for gold tempers are the master writs, they have an decent chance of rewarding you with gold tempers.Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.0
