so ive been away for some time and now im thinking of returning but ive got a problem i dont know what to play, something thats good in pve and great in pvp. At least i know what race ill play....my playstyle is a bit aggressive(so much i get lost in the battle and lose XD) i think of myself as a newb even though ive played a decent amount. Also i do like ranged magic not too keen on bows though for whatever reason. i know khajiit are better stamina based but could a magic cat do well in pvp? Well whatever advice you guys could give would be great, i really want to get back into the game and do well in pvp with my friends.

Well most people in PVP are playing some form of Hybrid. You can run around in Shacklebreaker gear.

My initial thoughs are as a stamblade but they are very melee, they have a lot of sustain for a stam class comparitively, which help with Khajiti's weaknesses with sustain.

Now if I think Ranged Stamina I have to go with Stam-warden, they even have stamina Healing (you can crit on healing), So you can feel like a mage will still using stamina abilities. However, I don't know if you have Morrowind.

A lot of people are pushing for a buff to khajiti to allow them to have weapon and spell crit and honestly, particularly in PVP, the racial passives barely matter.

I have a kitty stamina nightblade, and he deals the most damage out of all of my characters. He kills in a split second, and can one-shot a lot of things. I love my kitty ninja. If you want something that's powerful and kills fast, go ninja.
Make sure to get the Ambush skill (a morph of Teleport Strike). Slot that first on your bar, and hit it once before every fight. It lets you stun enemies briefly by jumping on them, and gives you 20% extra damage at the same time. (If you PvP, the enemy player is snared briefly instead of stunned.)

    Newbie guide of Nightblades

    1. Ambush from distance. (Alone riders are preferred.)
    2. Surprise attack
    3. Incapacitating Strike.
    4. Killer's blade.

Especially if you happen to have a friend, you two will kill most dps and healer chars like this in 2-3 sec.

If the opponent is able to break free or survives this first 2-3 seconds, go shadowy disguise, use mass hysteria and restart.
My Great House Telvanni did not join the Pact.
But it does not mean I don't want to be Emperor.

The correct answer is: whatever class you want. While specific passives and active buffs from one class or another may be 'optimal' it is, in truth, the player that makes the character, not the class. Sure, while some classes may be a 'better fit' to a race type, any class/race combo can rock, if the player has skills. Or skooma. Lots of skooma...mmmmm, skooma...

I love my Khajiit stam sorc. It's all melee (though you can use a bow too), and streak, dark deal and crit surge are very useful. It's not a ranged caster, but it is a class that you can jump in and be aggressive with and not have to worry too much since crit surge is a constant heal. You may even be able to make a hybrid sorc (with Pelinal's Aptitude or otherwise), but I haven't personally tried. Feel free to PM me about it, there are a lot of ways to build that.

Specifically to the question of whether a Khajiit mage can do well, yes it can. My Khajiit magblade was strong, though I switched back to stam because of specific annoyances with magblade as a class. Racial passives will factor in to numbers, but if you know how to CC and combo and generally play your class properly you're not going to be too much worse off. But you are at a disadvantage. All of my Khajiit are stam-based for that reason.

I'm a Khajiit Magicka Warden Healer. Still leveling, but no deaths in group content yet. It's the first time I've been happy because I've always created characters that match the role I want (Khajiit Stamina Nightblade as a Thief, Breton Magicka Templar as a Healer, etc).

I wasn't happy because in Final Fantasy XI and XIV, I am a cat race as tank or healer, so I needed that in ESO. I'm sure many will turn their nose at me due to lack of min/max, but oh well.

    Short answer: Stamina DD

Longer answer: At least for PvE I would play a Redguard instead, the sustain matters now and is so juicy. An exception might be a StamDK because in PvE you use a full heavy attack rota, so you shouln't need the racial bonus for stamina reg.
