I bought the Imperial Edition Physical Collector's Edition. I tried to add it to my account. It failed with a completely non-descript error message. Support then gave me this gem:
The reason that you are unable to redeem the Imperial Edition code for ESOTU onto your account is because you already have a valid game code registered to your account. Since the Imperial Edition code you purchased is for the complete game, it must be applied to a brand new account. If you are interested in upgrading to the Imperial Edition on your current account, you simply need to purchase the Digital Imperial Edition Upgrade through the in-game Crown Store.
I already bought the Collector's Edition. I spent a BUTTLOAD of money on it. I'm now supposed to throw that in the trash, and buy it AGAIN directly from the crown store? Seriously?
This is ticket #171103-000398. Can someone who isn't an idiot please address my ticket? There has got to be a better way here. Let me at least trade in my code for something that'll work. I don't believe for a second that this issue should require me to spend even more money than I already have.
