Deleting Characters

Hello all.
I just started playing again, and I have characters I don't plan to use. Some MAY have gotten items from the store, but I don't remember which ones, or what items. Can I safely delete the characters if they have no items in the inventory? One has a Ring of Mara that was used long ago, but that player no longer plays, nor wants to, so I don't mind losing it. I just have no desire to play those characters, and I don't like my character list clogged up by them. Any other items collected would be costumes and mounts.

✭Bear in mind you can only delete 3 characters per day. Then as time passes you will be able to delete the rest.
I'd recommend checking inventory, inventory gold, and equipped items before deleting.PC-EU1
