2 of them are DPS and 1 of them is healer. The 3 of them decide to run without tank and so they asked the healer to quene as healer/tank, and the party becomes 2 healer and 2 dps and they blamed me for wasting their time. Can you help these idiots what they should do if they don't want a tank?

Wait!? The healer didn't split in two to cover both? That's outrageous! Have you filled a bug report?

Anyway, it's your fault. Why don't you have a DPS gear on your healer with you? You should've anticipated that!

Still, funny as hell. Some people ain't bright enough to play the game. Should've kept playing rock paper scissors if figuring out that a DD should chose a tank role to make it heal+3dd was beyond their grasp.

Okay for one a tank isn't needed in the grand majority of the content in this game. With that said if I grab a random that is tanking I typically just drag them through the content. I don't give any attitude though. These randoms just sound whiney in my opinion.

sooo youre complaining about 3 out of the 4 people in a group? hmmm, might need to look at the common denominator here. . .

Generally if the group can beat the dungeon I don't care about the comp. I often queue my DPS as a tank (with friends) so we can queue into and clear faster.
I have done this sometimes with random groups where I take my DPS as a tank and someone else is a healer, however we let people know there will be no "tank" and how the content works in that way.

If it ever comes up a group can't do the dungeon when I random queue (as the correct role) then I just wait for the disband or respectfully leave.

OP is making fun of the trio not being able to figure out a DD has to check tank role to make it 3xDD+Heal, not the fact, that someone queued as tank. The fact that there was a healer queuing as tank, which resulted in two healers in a dungeon is what makes the whole situation hilarious.

Your'e right at least 2 of them should que as tank/healer , so they don't get another useless healer in normal

No, experienced people can solo most normal dungeons. New players or those without optimal gear cannot. Stop being elitist.

Kinda depends on the dungeon. A DPS or healing build can make some tweaks and turn into a Tank pretty easily. Certainly not a min/max tank, but a tank function nonetheless.

No solution would be for one of the DD, typical the magblade without food to set role as tank, then queue for another DD,
If healer was queued as both healer and tank they would either get an healer or tank.

Normal dungeons can give lots of weird stuff, was healer and one of the DD was using rapid regen as part of his rotation.

A DPS should queue as tank.

Side note, this is why all my healers can DPS. My nightblade in particular is very good at healing things to death.

Once I've done 4x main tank run for fun. It was... slow. We even had a DPS race, quite unorthodox, tbh. The one that took the most damage won... Wasn't me :/

In a pug group you have no clue how the other players play.

    With friends is another story.

I hear you on the Weird. The other night was doing pledges on a couple of my healers and managed to get the same dps in 2 of them. All he did was lighting staff heavy attack and spam orbs. Lol

It's quite possible to run a dungeon with three, even without a tank. The other night, we lost our tank due to a disconnect, and we decided to wait on him to come back, but he never did, which I assume meant he never was able to connect again. (or whatever salty reason one might want to use instead). Anyway, we thought about queuing for another person and kicking him out, but instead, we decided to see how we might do with just the three of us. I was the highest cp of the group, so I ended up "tanking", even though that wasn't ever my intention. The amount of damage I was throwing at our enemies just caused me to become a tank, even if I didn't want to. I've been in some dungeons where it's touch and go, but this was an onslaught with us devastating practically everything we came across. We had a bit of trouble with the last boss, but we managed to seriously blow through this dungeon. Honestly, I thought it was going to be the opposite experience, but for the first time I could say I tanked a dungeon as a magic using nightblade and we won.

If anything served to make this run work well, it was the fact that all three of us really seemed to be in tune with each other, even though this was a pick up group, and this was the first time we'd ever met.
    Clueless, but willing to learn.

Tanks definitely have their uses but keep extra gear and skills on hand so you can provide more DPS if that's more useful. You don't necessarily need to fill multiple roles (like select DPS and Tank in group finder) but being able to adjust to the situation will make you much more useful. For example, the bull netch (Grubull the Transmuted) in Darkshade Caverns 2. A tank literally can do nothing in this fight. If you can switch up and provide some aoe dps then this fight goes a lot faster and easier. Be versatile.

At least you had some conversation.
In my last pug I had 3 Frenchmen and they didn't know English.
Not a single word from them in entire dungeon, even when asked or advised.

Honestly, you don't need a tank for normal groups. They are kind of the useless role until you start doing Vet Dungeons.

Read this thread today where a guy groups with 2 healers and a dps and one of the healers queued as the tank. He then came to the forums to complain about it when he should have just decided to walk the other way next time.

I am never fond of these types of posts.

This is an MMO. Players in all levels of experience (or no experience) are enjoying this world. Instead of complaining, consider offering your wealth of experience...and gently teach.

Personally, I would love to see an option for players that tells others what level of group they are interested in, such as:

    Elitist
    Experienced
    Novice
    Just for fun

    Now back to chasing flutterbyes.
